Extremely minor tidbit for the Nick Nurse supporters. Talked with a person very close to Nurse. Apparently he's in Italy currently and to the best of their knowledge there's been no contact with Nurse. Not to say there hasn't been with his agent. Person was "hopeful" he'd get it, but there seemed to be nothing to indicate he's really in the running.

Or he just may not be talking... TIFWIW

According to what I heard on the news, Nurse and Greg Lansing are both in the mix.

FYI Lansing is the one putting his name out there. He personally reached out to ISU as well as local media and insiders to help pump him up. I know that from first hand experience.

Greg Lansing is a pretty solid coach. I would put him at 3rd in the MVC behind Gregg and Ben...but no thanks. In fact, that would be a worse hire than McDermott and Chizik combined.

Prohm has already led that 'low level' conference school to a #6 seed in the NCAA Tourney (which is far more difficult to do at Murray State than at a Big 12 school). He has also won at minimum his division of his conference every single year he's been there, and made the NIT Quarterfinals last year after going 16-0 conference.

Bill Self, Lon Kruger, Shaka Smart, Rick Pitino, John Calipari, Mike Brey, Bo Ryan, Tim Floyd, Larry Eustachy, Coach K, etc...never would've gotten a chance if some of you were in charge because they would've been stuck at their low-mid majors forever.

It still doesn't mean he can coach at this level. For ever name you listed there are many many many many coaches that didn't make it at the next level up.

He is much more passive about it all, likely more inquisitive... Lansing is a different story...

Lansing wants to come home.

Look winning at Indiana State is like winning at football at Iowa State.
(Purdue, Butler, Indiana, Notre Dame,) all within your states borders

Not my first choice, but he is a pretty good coach

Same with TJ. None of them have been P5 (or Big East) coaches.
