Sane people: Yet here he is paying a national search firm to conduct a nationwide search, expense 5 guys to fly and stay in ATL for a weekend, just to throw a few Cyclone fans off of the trail that he's got a secret deal in place with TJ all along.

That's just as bad as people acting like he deserves no blame for those teams. It's just odd that he recruited such amazing players but it never translated to wins. I think it just proves he's a competent recruiter, who can get the same caliber guys we are used at ISU, guys that a competent HC can win with (perhaps even himself) While that's all we need him to do, that doesn't make him this can't miss, recruiting genius. We will still continue to build our team with high 3*/low 4* recruits.

You are right, his history of being on mediocre programs gets blown out of proportion bc honestly, he doesn't have much to talk about as far as his coaching experience. That works the same way with his recruiting, we don't have a ton of positive things to say about either so he gets a little too much credit as a recruiter.

I like to NOT think about what this program looks like if Georges had picked the hoks over ISU.

Little known fact: CF mods get to sit in on the interviews and then vote on who we want to coach.

Well whether the AD has background as a CPA, Engineer, Doctor, Garbage man or Hobo should have no effect on anything. Because their job as an AD is to run the Athletic Department which includes hiring coaches.

If they won't do their job properly, such as carrying out a search, then you step in and make them do it, just like any profession.

If they don't like that, they're replaceable, just like everyone else.
