Against what teams? His offensive scheme is garbage. We were top 15 because we hit 100 against of crap teams. I got dumbed by everyone on this post but what part of our offense makes you excited other than Mommy hitting at a crazy high three point clip and Jefferson adding points?
Toure is just so raw still offensively and Buchanan adds absolutely nothing so it’s easy to pack the paint. I don’t get why Nate isn’t running constant screens for Milan
Uh, len pom.and torvik take into account the teams we play against when making that ranking too. St johns is 21st nationally in d. Cuse is top 50. Purdue 25th. Iowa 13th. Cinnci is 6th nationally in d.
How may more games do we have to look like this before it’s just “reacting”? Because it hasn’t been pretty for 7 of the 10 halves we’ve played in conference.
I’m with you on the iso ball. With 5 mins left in the game, we had 5 total assists. Compare that to previous games where we might score 5 total baskets unassisted.
The offensive game planning and strategy has been atrocious. We continue to run the offense through Jefferson who is now shooting less than 30% from the field and 4+ turnovers per game. Staff is way too stubborn right now.

So you think we're OK right now? Do you feel that what you're seeing since mid-December isn't too far off from what we had been doing and it is just a matter of time before things sorta 'click' again?
Personally my take is that it is disingenuous to look at KenPom and Torvik "on the year" because most everyone is a different team than they were in November. Literally since December 9 onward, our metrics are consistently in "not-elite" territory. The only way to feel good right now about our metrics is to include all 18 games in hopes that early season wins pull things up. But critically - we don't physically look as good as we did early on.

I fear we haven't passed the eye test since Purdue.
I thought we looked and played awful against Iowa. Like literally exactly like we have played the last couple weeks. And no I don't (and didn't) think that could be explained away as a "tough spot having to play a rival a week before finals after a big road win". Um no, I expected to beat the sh*t out of them. And we looked awful. Until this week, I was willing to drink the Koolaid because 16-0 and #2 ranking is flat out really freaking fun.
Also you know so very little about sports it’s amazing. All you know how to do is hit the dumb button. Which isn’t knowing sports at all. You have never put forth a legit debate on anything you hit the dumb button on. So you go ahead and take a seat.
