***Cincinnati Game Week Discussion Thread***

I don't disagree, but does Cincy have the talent to execute? Serious question. I feel like Cincinnati is less talented than KU, UCF, or TTU? I also feel like the defense is playing the way they are partially due to 3 stringers at LB who have little to no depth. They are wiped out.
UC does have some talent on both sides of the ball. Rob Gray did a nice write up on who to watch.

Their RBs, both Kriner and Pryor have quickness, and if we continue to play a 3-3-5, will get 5-6 yds per carry. Henderson is quick and tall at wide receiver, and good with the 50/50 balls. Sorsby is the question mark - makes questionable decisions at times.

Defensively, Corleone will erase many of our run up the middle plays.

This will have to be a shootout win for the Clones. The final advantage will be special teams and coaching for ISU. The UC place kicker is not good and Satterfield is a horrible in game coach.

They haven't exactly been lighting the world on fire lately. I watched a fair amount of their game against WVU and they were getting their doors blown off for most of that game and made it look closer than it actually was at the end like ISU did, and that was at home. I would guess their fanbase feels about the same as ours.
I didn't watch the game at all so I'll defer to you, but Cincy absolutely dominated the game statistically...

West Virginia had two defensive scores, including a backbreaker at the end. Cincinnati scored 14 unanswered points and had a chance to tie with a field goal or take the lead with a touchdown until that fumble return for a touchdown. I wouldn't describe it like the KU/ISU game.

Didn’t we just replace the field last year? I did notice a lot of players slipping in the TTU game.

My personal thoughts were the slipping in the Baylor and UCF game were due to condensation on the grass as the sun went down for those night games. I guessed those schools just chose cleats poorly. ISU seemed to have a few issues but noticeably less than their opponent. TT was an afternoon game but it was rainy/misty all day and both teams seemed to have the same amount of troubles. I don't remember slipping being a problem for NorDak or ArkSt games.

I do know too that they spread plastic sheet over the field later in the season to try to preserve the health of the grass longer. Maybe that draws up extra moisture?

Guess the UC coach is laying the foundation for his excuses on why they'll lose on Saturday.
