Hoping we don't come to Thursday's game with a sense of entitlement after getting patted on the back for Sunday's effort. With as many seniors that are playing, I wouldn't expect it, but you never know. I'm mostly thinking of Burton, who disappeared at times last season. I'm excited to see if we can build on our defensive effort from Friday and the second half Sunday. We can really lock down when we need to. Even though the effort was there last season, I don't think we were physically capable of defending well for long stretches. This season, even our bench players look like they can man up.

This is actually a pretty big game for us. It's pretty much our last chance to get another good out of conference win (I think the Miami win will end up being a good win at the end of the year)

This isn't a team that is going to feel entitled following a loss

Since you kinda brought it up, do we need to wonder that after Burton's beast mode vs. Gonzaga that he will over force things to get his shot at times vs. letting the game come to him? Hopefully we'll see the mature player not try to do too much. Obviously, he has the confidence (probably did before Sunday) that he can score on anyone, which is a good thing!

I kind of think he was differing last year to 2 draft picks and another Senior playing over seas. This year, I think he knows he is our mismatch and will make stuff happen when it is presented to him. I think if anything, last year shows you that he will not Peter Jok it, and just shoot whether it he is hot (42 points) or not (career record 16 misses)

Hilton should be rockin' and the speed of play will be a challenge for the Bearcats. Should be a great game.

I'm sure Hilton will rock, but I doubt it bothers them too much. I was totally impressed by their home court last year - it absolutely rivals some of the great B12 venues. They'll be ready for it.

Hilton makes every visiting team uncomfortable, just ask Grandpa Ellis.

Not Fran, he says they play in hostile environments like ours all the time. Okie dokie....
Lol OK! Sure, the B1G has some tough arenas to play in but Hilton ranks right up there with any of them. Fran probably enjoys going on the road and playing in a real college hoops atmosphere...

Union Bearcat responds,,,,You don't gotta believe me and I don't gotta provide my source. What are my consequences?

Ya gotta like this one.

I was at Cincinnati last year too. It was a great game and a great crowd. Just because they have experienced great environments before doesn't mean Hilton wont affect them. I am sure they get a good dose of Hilton Magic.
