Two pitchers I had for years was Granddaddy's and The Filmore which became Mississippi Queen. All three places brought in now famous bands. Those were the days!
I was there that night at the Fillmore to see Jonesin, a band from Omaha, as was most of the croud. U2 was just a curiosity, a band we were told might be the next Beetles.

Edit: BTW, the performance at the Fillmore was part of U2's "Boy" Tour, their first tour including a North America leg. Here was the schedule. If you page down 3/4 of the way, you will see Ames listed as 10 April 1981:

So what was the popular pizza to get delivered? About 10, a bunch of us always took a study break on ordered pizzas. Don’t remember the name

My group usually rolled with Pizza Pit they always had coupons in the Daily. I remember getting a big pepperoni pizza for 5 bucks. Fancy pizza was Great Plains.

Concert Archives has it as well, but they list the Fillmore as being in Des Moines. But they do have the set list for the night. (click on the paper icon next to 'U2'.)
