CFB Final 4

Clemson has one loss by a single point to Pitt. Michigan has 2 losses in their last 3 games. Penn State has 2 losses.

The committee got it right by taking only 1 Big Ten team.

Never said the committee didn't get it right if you read my original post...come on lets keep up here

And obviously Clemson has one loss, thanks for pointing that out captain obvious. Still doesn't change the fact that they were very fortunate throughout the entire year in multiple close games (Troy, Louisville and especially NC state just off the top of my head). Very similar to FSU the year after they won the NC - can't really leave them out of the playoff but at the same time you know there are teams sitting outside the top four that are better

Like others have already said, I have absolutely no problem with the four that the selection committee chose - Alabama, Clemson, OSU, and Washington are the right four. And I have no problem with OU being left out because they have a particularly bad loss to Houston, although they're about as good as anyone else now. The problem I have is the logic they used to include Ohio State is the very same logic they used to exclude TCU two years ago. And that TCU team two years ago was better than everyone but Alabama this year.

Being awesome on defense matters this year, didn't matter two years ago.

13 data points not required this year, required two years ago.

Having your only loss to a top ten team matters this year, didn't matter two years ago.

Not playing in a CCG drops you 1 spot in rankings, drops you 3 spots two years ago.

Committee gonna come out with whatever brand new horse**** validates their decision every year.

They should send the Big IIXII an apology letter - that's as good as a win (or a selection)!

Like most on this board, I am no B1G fan, nor a Pedo St fan even moreso. But this is just ridiculous.

PSU wins their conference. Beats Ohio St head to head. But they get left behind for OSU in the playoff. OSU has the bigger brand, will draw more viewers.

If the "better team" is always going to get in, even when the "better team" got beat by the "worse team" head to heard, AND the "worse team" won their whole flipping conference... well then why even play the gd games in the first place? Just set up a tournament for the chosen ones, and stop the charade.

It's so egregious, it could be intentional. Do something horrific, get the commentariat up in arms, use that noise to expand to 8 team playoff. Even MORE money...
