CF Pickup Basketball

Hey guys, I currently play at a church in Urbandale from 7-9 on Tuesdays, and we are looking for more people. We generally play 4 on 4 because the gym is slightly shorter than regulation, but it is normal width. Is anyone interested in joining? We actually need two more people for tonight if anyone is free, I know it's short notice but please let me know.

Any cost to use the gym? I know that was a point of contention when we've considered playing at churches in the past. No offense if it's not the case at your gym.

I’d join but I got to go to Omaha tonight. Maybe next week

Don't be a **** to Cash. He just wants to play basketball and this group hasn't gotten it's **** together yet.
Hopp, calm down man. I'm not upset with Cash. We're getting it figured out. Urbandale's a bit farther for Ames folks but maybe it could work.

Sorry. I'm all hyped up from arguing in the cave. I got a little antsy in my pantsys

If we're still looking to play in Ankeny does anyone know where good courts are? I guess I just assumed we'd play outdoors. Not sure if there even are indoor courts anywhere in Ankeny

Last time we played I think it was near hopp's house, but I couldn't tell you where it was. @cyhiphopp is that still a decent option for us?

@Fitzy now that you're living down there, any suggestions?

What, you think I ever come out of my house?

There are a handful of parks with full courts. Just a matter of finding one that isn't currently being used when we go to play. Sunrise Park is close to my place and has a couple courts. I believe the one we played at before near Hopp's place with one court was Glenbrooke. Other options that aren't quite as far off I-35 are Crestbruck (1 court) and Briarwood (2 courts).

How long do you play for? I’d be in for Ankeny but I’m what people would call “out of shape”.

Considering I deliver your groceries to you every week, I suppose you wouldn't know much about courts. Going to a park with 2 courts might be nice from an availability standpoint.

DMACC has a couple of courts too. I don't know how they feel about old men taking over the courts though.

Honestly no idea. We haven't played together for years. I think we usually played for what, 90, 120 minutes? Enough time to play a few 5 on 5 pickup games to 21.
