My one gripe - geez guys, we get it - Colorado was picked 15 in the preseason. We heard ya the first dozen times.
I know they latched on ti this as a way to hype up how competitive the Big 12 is. But they went 10-2 pre conference and beat UCONN. They’ve proven to be competitive already. Let it go fellas.

Great point on the crowd noise. No idea why you'd want to muffle the crowd noise so long as you can hear the announcers most of the time.

Honestly, no idea who they were. The main host-guy was a former KSU cross country guy, they kept making fun of his old pic and hairstyle.
I was just impressed they actually seemed to know things about bball as well as the teams and coaches they were talking about. Not just sitting around saying 5-star names, only talking about 6 teams, and generic "watch out for Izzo in March" stuff.
Googled them. Brent Stover is the host, keeps it all on track, the Greg Gumbel role. Renee Montgomery and Chris Walker were the other two. They both seemed to have broad and deep knowledge about the sport; put with Rothstein... it was just a different planet than ESPN. Really good imho.
Love it when you can tell the announcers are shouting (but trying not to shout) into their mics to be heard.
The woman was Isis Young and she was very knowledgeable.

For the long-timers, Stover did Big 12 WBB games on FSN around 2009/2010.
That show and crew are great. It’s basically hit on each league and cover the favorites, the sleepers, players to watch, unheralded guys, etc.
The approaches at CBS and ESPN are polar opposites. ESPN churns out garbage product and spends all their time and resources on marketing that garbage product. CBS just puts out a great product and markets of course, but the focus is on the product.
ESPN is basically taking the Ron Popeil approach to operating a business. Produce ****, yell loud, yell often, flood the airwaves.
I never watch the Halftime Shows when the Cyclones play on ESPN. I am sick of ESPN and their Big 12 Bias while they push their SEC/B1G propaganda. I did tune into the CBSSN Halftime coverage. I was pleasantly surprised by the panel's knowledge level.
I get that...but the goddess Isis in ancient Egypt was all-powerful...so...yeah on the modern relationship with that name...but VERY cool name if you go back to the ancient Egyptian association. OK...back to basketball...lol
I watched the post game and it was good too. Same crew.
One of them (I forget who) was lauding TJ and his ability coach and adapt. He said something to the effect that with TJ in Ames for the long haul he could see Iowa State become a "Superpower" (his words - not mine).

No...not sure why it is not included. It actually seems to be the only CBS channel not on Paramount plus.
Hope so.
But ESPN scheduled this year's games on ESPN+ knowing ISU was a Top 10 preseason. So I feel ESPN is less likely to switch and wants to keep some of its better games on ESPN+ to push subscriptions.
My favorite thing about ESPN+ is you can actually watch women’s college sports and that was previously very limited.
