Totally agree. The production value is so much better and the announcers were actually knowledgeable and talked about things relevant to the game most of the time.

When they cut two the studio crew after the game the said something like ‘the inaugural B12 coverage/double header was a smashing success‘. Wow, it’s refreshing to have a broadcast partner enthusiastic about the B12.

Setup yttv to record ISU events and you will have entire games in your library....football, basketball...
The thing I love about CBS Sports Net is that they treat every game they broadcast like it's a big deal. It isn't just the Big 12 or Big East that they roll out the carpet for. You can watch a random CAA or Patriot League game on there and the halftime show is all about the game they're currently showing or talk about the league they're showing.
It's just a completely professional operation with no agenda other than 'we love college basketball and want you to love it too.'

Very happy with the CBS production. Announcers were good, liked the studio segments, and liked the Big 12 focus. They went way over the top with how tough the Big 12 is, repeating it many times, but was refreshing to have a network in our corner.
I am pleased with ESPN+ arrangement also as we can see all our games on tv, even against scrub teams.

ESPN: We really need plus to start performing better. Of course we put the least amount of effort possible into it so we're gonna have to leverage loyal fans into paying for a sub to this crap train.

Yeah, I haven't watched a lot of sports coverage outside the actual ISU games for some years. It wasn't worth it. But I actually let the feed go on after the game last night, and the 4 person team there talking hoops was good! They talked about different teams, conferences, and actually knew some things. Refreshing! I might actually start trying to watch more games, like the good old days...
Who did they have in the studio? Eye on CBB podcast is a daily listen for me almost year round at this point. Top 25 & 1 is the best non-predictive ranking as well imo.
ESPN bought all this content up and delivers a crappy product. Plus they tried to dismantle their TV partner's conference in an attempt to save money. **** them.
Watching a football game on CBS after watching a game on ESPN is almost as stark as low def to HD.
Plus, why does ESPNs NFL and CFB coverage insist on the audio mix being such that the crowd seems way quieter so the booth can be largely a conversational volume? Just makes the vibe garbage compared to Fox, CBS and NBC.
Then add in their terrible crews and ESPN is so inferior to the others.
I get the feeling ESPN broadcasting crews and talent is spread a little to thin, covering all the games they try to broadcast in a week, with the NFL and NBA, throw in a few major college BB games, both MBB and WBB, and the less important games get left behind.
CBS really only has the NFL and a few college football games and a couple bb games a week to cover, so they can send their trucks and crews to do a better job on a Monday in Boulder, while the ESPN crews were doing Monday night football and getting ready for all their bowl games.
Well if they didn't have expensive playboys like Hassle they wouldn't have to lay off everyone for the high school AV club.
It's so refreshing to have that good studio coverage vs ESPN where the halftime show is shoehorning in SEC football coverage no matter what sport or teams are playing. The broadcast last night felt big time and I hope we have more games on CBSSN vs ESPN+. let's grow this into a great partnership for the league
Did you watch the BYU vs Colorado game? It’s like the announcers were watching a different game. Just kept raving about Colorado while BYU was kicking the snot out of them. Most bizarre commentary I have heard during a game. Barely mentioning BYU and just kept talking about Colorado. Felt bad for byu fans.
