Here's what I'm watching:

- 11:00: Southern Cal @ Kansas (ESPN) - Ugly game so far in Josh Seby's debut

- 1:00: Arkansas vs. Texas A&M (ESPN2) - Decent game to hold me over until a nice afternoon slate of games

- 2:30: Kansas State vs. Florida (FSN) - Big game here for two teams who haven't played up to their preseason hype yet. Homecoming game for Frank.

- 3:00: Texas vs. North Carolina (CBS) - Underachieving talent vs. underachieving talent. Big game.

- 3:30: Gonzaga vs. Baylor (ESPN2) - Gonzaga is hanging on for its life here, having lost of a bunch already. This is Baylor's toughest game yet of a non-con schedule that is more-or-less comparable to that season where they couldn't play non-con games. (And when Baylor comes to Ames, it will be, by far, Baylor's toughest game of the season to that point)

- 5:30: Alabama vs. Oklahoma State (ESPN2) - Decent B12/SEC game.

Other games:
-1:00 Cleveland State @ West Virginia (BE/FC)
- 4:30 BYU vs. UCLA (4:30)
- 7:00 Virginia Tech vs. Mississippi State (No TV)
- 8:00 Cincinnati vs. Oklahoma (ESPNU)

Because any college basketball is better than crappy bowl games. Sorry, I won't watch any bowl games until at least after Christmas.

Yep, same here. My brain in in full blown basketball mode now. Iowa State's football season is over, and I've stopped caring about football for a few weeks.

Anyone else think Selby looks really awkward with the ball in his hands. He gets a pass because it's his first game of course but he just does not look smooth at all. With that being said, he shot looked very pretty.

This thread makes me laugh. How can you watch basketball when there is football to be played?!?!

a) The thread is clearly marked "CBB." If you don't care about it, don't come and take a **** all over the thread.

b) I'll watch top CBB games over D-2 and mid-major football games any day. If you disagree, I somewhat feel sorry for you.

Back to the topic, sort of, Bob Knight sucks. I've defended him the past, but he sucks the life out of the game. And he seems to long for games to be played like they were in 1970. If I took a real shot every time Bob Knight said "shot fake," I'd be in the hospital.

I agree, and it's almost the opposite of his reputation. He's supposed to be a good handler that will drive and score in the lane, with the outside shot as somewhat of an afterthought. I hope he doesn't settle for being a jump shooter.

Close game here in Lawrence. SC wants to take down this 65-game home win streak.

This game is crazy! USC up by 2, Donte Smith is killing Kansas. About two mins remaining.

USC was rated 1 or 2 spots better than Cal in the preseason rankings. I thought Kansas was the clear cut Big 12 favorite, and I still do, but this just shows the Big 12 is way down this year. Kansas is the top (been good, not great). Baylor, KSU, Texas, and Missouri are the next tier (not very impressive). Then A&m and OSU (about as expected). 8-12 are bad, We might be the eighth best team (not very impressive).

USC imploded there at the end.

No kidding. I hope we don't have to see him next year.

He's got lottery talent. Should be gone unless there's a lockout.

USC imploded there at the end.

Absolutely. 2nd lucky finish against an LA team at Allen Fieldhouse in three weeks. USC played well in the second half, with the exception of the last possession, though.

Why was Selby not playing? Improper benefits? Knowing KU, thats not a shocker, but why was he allowed to play?

Had a family friend that was an agent, that gave some money to them. I don't think it was a very big deal.

Chill man I was just giving you a hard time. Yes I would rather watch crappy bowl games than basketball. I'm just a football fanatic. There was a time when I loved watching any basketball but that was before the McDoormat years.
