Casey's pizza box tabs

My step-daughter is back from LA/London for Xmas and we've had Casey's pizza 5 out of the 7 nights she's been home so far (and Hyvee fried chicken the other 2 nights). She's very picky lol.

I can relate. Our son lives in Fort Collins and when he gets off the plane the first thing he wants is a slice of Casey's pizza.

I've met people all over the country who are originally from Iowa, it usually doesn't take long for Casey's to get brought up.

I’m my town Casey actually works at Casey’s. She randomly hits buttons on the register so it’s like playing slot machines when you go to pay. May come out at half price, may be double.

Man Casey's has made some major mistakes over the years.

1.) removing the slush machines
2.) getting rid of the behind the counter single seater
3.) eliminating the pizza box tabs

I feel like my whole childhood was a big lie at this point.

In town store has a slushy machine. It’s a new store also.

Nothing quite like barely making it to one of these, then completely blowing it up for the employees to smell long after you left.

I dunno, I never liked those single seaters. And if you sat down to take a deuce, the door hardly ever locked and you could hear the slush machine whirling on the other side. I think they were like 29,39,49 cents. If you knew the person at the counter, they'd put a few more squirts of the syrup in.

Speaking of that. A friend in college worked at subway and would keep all the full cards that were turned in (he had thousands). We would go to the bar, he'd hand the bartenders a hand full of free sub cards and we'd drink for free.
How many times do you suppose those cards were "recycled"? Buddy gives them to the bartenders for booze, the next day bartenders go to Subway with the punch cards for sandwiches, repeat.

I see what you did there putting your point #2 where you did.

Also, one of the first times I smelled pot was in one of those.

Getting rid of chicken and the pizza bread were a big deal as well.

Not sure where you live but I live in Cedar Rapids and the Hy Vee on Collins Road has the best Chinese food in town.
We have been extremely disappointed in the Collins Rd Chinese. The last two times everything was soggy and the chicken was dried out. Edgewood Rd was the best in CR until they renovated their kitchen. It's good but it isn't like it was. The best HyChi anywhere is West Ames HyVee.
