I wear fancy expensive cargo shorts like the prAna stretch zion shorts. Much more breathable than cargo shorts, so you can fight summer swamp butt. Golf shorts don't have enough pockets for the stuff I carry. I don't care if people don't like my style.

where are you golfing that you can wear cargo shorts? Most golf courses don't allow them.

This is highly untrue. Maybe at country clubs. But "most" golf courses are public and have much less stringent dress policy's.

Carrying around a wallet in cargo shorts pockets feels 10X better than stuffing it in your back pocket. Especially if you sit.

I’ve been straight rubber band or hair tie since like ‘97. Traditional wallets went out before cargo shorts did. Then those “card holder” wallets also went out. Basically anything with a window for your ID is out.

Anytime I think of cargo shorts, I think of Kramer on Seinfeld and his cargo pants loaded with pennies trying to buy cazones.

Btw, went on vacation a little bit ago and needed a couple more pair of shorts and wife bought me golf shorts. Thought I would hate them, faught trying them on. When I did I realized they are extremely comfortable. Also, money clips and much better to carry than wallets.
