Aw man, I used to check my balance at that machine because I didn't have the minimum withdrawal amount. Time truly fades away.....
Got to spend a few hours in LA (Lovely Ames) this afternoon.
Sat down at old The Stomping Grounds cafe patio, which is now called Bar La Tosca, and looked across the street and saw 228 & 232 Welch Ave building are surrounded by a construction fence.
Sounds like the buildings are in fairly bad living conditions and are not up to code. There’s some articles on it.
Anybody know or heard if these great location sites having anything planned for redevelopment?
Pretty rough looking currently.

With Es Tas gone, my only "go to" from college is Welch Ave Station/Pizza Pit.
I lived in 232 for a year. It was actually my favorite college apartment. Prime location and the landlord was responsive to upgrades to the apartment. We paid $560/month total for a 2BR in 2010 lol. We didn't spend too much time on our "deck" lol. Those were death traps.

The door was chained up by the building owner because the tenants are way behind on rent.
