Bubble Watch

Somewhat off topic, I hope Mount St. Mary's wins their conference tournament. Naz's bro. Notice after they lost to us, along with most of their tough non-conference opponents, they've kicked butt in their conference. Just think it would be neat to have Naz and Elijah both in the tourney.

The way it's going, unless either of those teams stumble into a terrible loss before the semifinal of Valley tournament, they're as good as locks. WSU has one of those "no bad losses" teams that otherwise has almost no bulk to the profile.

I think they are both safe as long as a team like UNI doesn't win the Valley Tourney and steal a bid. If that happens one of those teams is getting left out because there is zero chance of the the Valley getting 3 bids this year.

ESPN’s most-recent Bubble Watch came Thursday. Based on that analysis, these updates need to be made now (roughly 4 p.m. EST)

American: Lock SMU
A-10: Lock Dayton and VCU (even if VCU loses at URI)
ACC: Mercy-kill Clemson and Pitt, puh-lease
Big 12: Lock Iowa State and Oklahoma State (assuming win over Tech)
Big Ten: Lock Maryland
SEC: Lock Arkansas, put Tennessee on life-support

Kansas State probably played its way out ... losing by 30 at OU. 30! Typical Weber collapse.

I know... Weber, but how does a lose by that margin to a team like OU this year happen? The Fighting Surlys have more talent than that. Good grief!

If the season ended today, I think we're looking at a high 6/low 7. Win one of the next two, and I think we're probably still there. Win two, and we're probably a 5. Lose both and we're probably a high 7. I suppose we could drop to an 8 if we lose the first game of the Big 12 tournament, but the most likely seed is 6 in my opinion.

I think we have the check mark, crew! Yay!

Such a huge turnaround by this team. Proud of them. Solomon smash!

We were at ~50% after the Vanderbilt loss before roaring through 6/7 and five straight, including that win for the ages beating Kansas in Lawrence. Six in a row! Yay!

At 13-8, I was still hopeful that we could turn it around and sneak into the tournament. To take 6 of 7, including winning at KU, and come roaring into the tournament with a good seed makes this team one that I will remember for a long time. Just amazing.

No love for UCLA from me, but I am kind of surprised that they have them pegged as a 3-seed even after winning at Arizona. Wouldn't want to play them, talent out of their butt.

You think they should be lower than a 3? Lunardi had them as a 4 last time which is ridiculous. I think they are a high 3 might even sneak up to a 2 at this point. I had doubts about them because they cant defend but theyve won at Arizona and Kentucky this year. Thats enough for me to know they are legit.

Wondering if UCLA finishes strong - with Gonzaga's loss last night - do they become a #1 seed? By the way, I hate UCLA so not saying this with any hope for that. Just wondering.

I think Arizona or Oregon would be bumped up if Gonzaga were to lose. UCLA could if they win the PAC-12 tourney.
