I am not comparing him to walter payton but I think walter was really good at punishing defenders early on and wearing them down and then getting big chunks in later runs. He was always looking to punish the corner or linebacker taking him down. Breece does that a little too.

4th quarter is when the real men come to play in the trenches. This is a huge sign guys, it was an OU d-line. Doesn't matter what year it is, those are 4 and 5 star players every single year.

You may not be equating him to Water Payton, but what you just did is the definition of comparing.

There’s some smooth balance that Breece has that guys like Payton and Gale Sayers had as well.

(That’s also not equating Breece to either of them. Breece is probably faster than Payton was—and that’s a comparison!)

For short yardage and ball security we'll probably never see better than Montgomery. I compare it to Monte Morris protecting the ball in hoops.

That was a TD, not a fumble!

More on topic, Montgomery was amazing in college but isn't as explosive as most NFL backs. Hall seems to have better burst. Long story short; both are awesome!
