You're the poster child for ******* morons. I only ask why you had an issue with 17 points from the line? I consider getting to the line an attribute.

Further you really think DMACC doesn't produce D1 basketball players? I thought it was enticing because he's got a couple years to refine his skills, he obviously has talent.

Per their basketball recruiting page, DMACC has produced one P5 recruit since 2000. One in 20 years doesn’t necessitate players unless you think isu needs to recruit at Drake’s level.

I sat in the Knapp Center and watched our 2000 team lose a very ugly game to Drake.

I don't understand why there are so many of you that want to beat down 18 y/o kids when you don't have a ******* clue.

All I said was it's intriguing he's staying close to home to get his grades up. Nobody ever said we need to be recruiting this kid. I don't understand why anyone at this point feels a need to rip on this kid's ability.

What I didn't say is if in a couple years he refined his game to his Dad's level he'd be a welcome addition. Just get over yourself already this constant self righteous BS is really annoying.

I’d take an Al Stewart (Drake) on next year’s team! And this year’s team and probably most Cyclone teams!

I never said we should recruit the kid. I hadn't even heard of him until the other day. I just was curious if anyone knew anything about him.

You're the poster for ******* delusional boomers. 17 points from the line in one game is an aberration, especially when there were a total of 49 fouls called in the game and 59 total free throws in the game. The refs were just calling an unusually tight game.

For example, last night he had 1 free throw as part of his 11 total points. He must be so good at getting to the line.

There is a big difference between DMACC producing D1 talent and Power 6 talent. Go look at this page:

https://www.dmaccbears.com/sports/mbkb/Bears_in_the_Pros

Since the start of the century, they've had exactly one player transfer to a power 6 team, and that was 17 year ago.

Figure your **** out before looking stupid next time.

He also had 2 teammates who were shooting over 50% from 3 point land. Lot of the reason for that is Cedar Falls packed the lane in to cut off driving lanes. Leaving shooters wide open. Also, the game last night the refs were letting both teams get away with a ton of contact.

Fact??? ABSOLUTELY ******* NOBODY SAID HE WAS A D1 RECRUIT!!!

Your vocal minority continues to ***** about and slam kids that haven't met your hypocritical standards. Once again NOBODY said he was a D1 prospect at this point in time. Stop finding issues with fans enjoying the successes of the son of a Cyclone Great.

I look forward to 2 years from now, with this kid and Bowen Born coming off the bench in garbage time as ISU walk ons.

179 FTA in 20 games kid has the ability to get to the line. 17 is exactly an aberration.

I'm not old enough to be a boomer.

Once again for your gnat size attention span. Nobody said he is a D1 prospect.

My son played him earlier this year. Good player but didn't look anywhere near D1. He's had a great tournament though.
Sort of reminds me of Doug McD. Granted he did have a few low level offers, but he had a killer tournament and it opened a lot of eyes.

The whole idea of this thread is:
I just heard today that Ron Bayless' son Braxton had 41 points in a state tournament game today. I have not heard of him until today. For those who may have seen him play before, is he a Big 12 caliber player? Since he is a legacy, didn't know if there was any interest from us as far as a scholarship or preferred walk on?
Then you bring this garbage in
The fact he's heading to DMACC is enticing. Let's see where this goes before we fill this thread up with what he isn't.
It's okay to not be not a big 12 player. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, he's a good high school player, but not everyone is going to play at a big college. We don't need a new thread any time a high school kid in Iowa has a good game. Just google "Braxton Bayless 247" and you'll find out there is no interest from Iowa State for a reason.

Why because you're a D bag??? That's about the only term I can come up with to describe someone that looks forward to the failure of 2 Cyclone legacies.
I wouldn't consider carrying on their father's legacy at ISU a failure.

Your quote was, " I look forward to seeing them come off the bench in garbage time".

If you're going to be a D bag at minimum stand up to it.
I was being sincere. I was on the Born bandwagon, but other posters put me in my place about him, made it clear that the only way he would be able to come to ISU is if he walked on. Bayless might be just as good, but his numbers don't indicate that he is. And ISU has shown no interest. Could that change for him after 2 years at DMACC? It could, but history pushes me to think his only shot at coming to ISU is as a walk on, even after 2 years at DMACC. Born and Bayless would be tremendous upgrades over our current walk-ons IMO
