Edgewood locker brats are superior.

This is my hometown. Family friends with one half of the ownership growing up and worked there all through grade school and college breaks so I may be a little biased. Mushroom & Swiss are what we purchase the most. My wife likes the Green Pepper and Onion. I also love the Jalapeño & Cheddar. Somewhere along the way my mom came up with the idea to put a taco brat in a tortilla along with whatever fixings you normally have on a taco and it’s pretty delicious.

They’ve really expanded their distribution and can be found in a lot of towns throughout Eastern Iowa. I think they even make runs to Des Moines some times.

What temp are you using for brats on pellet grill?

I set mine at 225. Takes about an hour to get them up to 145 degrees.

Living outside of Iowa I’ll admit I think about the Tiefenhaler brats at least once a week.

Not sure what a tief is but it must be good if you’re enhaling it

I go 225 for about 30 minutes then up to 350 to finish them. If you run low temp the whole time the casing gets super tough.

I actually picked up a big jar of sauerkraut at Menards of all places a few weeks ago that was surprisingly delicious. Went great on top of the standard issue Hy-Vee beer brats
