yes he has beaten his man off the dribble and drove in for a lay up a couple of times this year.

For those of you who think Brackins is a good outside shooter, why doesn't he shoot a good percentage outside?
For those of you who like his perimeter game, can you remember one time where he got to the basket after taking his man off the dribble from the outside?
I love Craig Brackins, and he is definitely a legit NBA prospect. My criticisms come from the fact that he is a GREAT scorer down low and very efficient, but him wasting shots and thus possessions on the outside really dilute his numbers.
I'm fine with him taking a couple to keep people honest. I'm not fine with him taking a 3 in transition like he did tonight.

Well said. He's got the tools, but he's not very efficient at all unless he's able to pin his man. His outside shot is better than last year, but still needs a lot of work. I'd rather seen him work on it during practice than hoisting it up nearly 10 times game. This season is a waste and I'm certainly not going to blame CB for it. But we could have won a couple more games if CB stayed down low the whole game.
Brackins will be playing for the Sixers next year
Examples please.
And even in the event that you're right (I don't doubt it. As many times as he tries, I'm sure it's worked at least once), there is no debating that it is a very inefficient part of his game. Most of the time, his "taking his man off the dribble" includes a shake and bake and a jumper that the other team will let him have any day that ends in Y.
And you already admitting that he has only done it "a couple times" confirms that he's not very good at it.
Would you like to make a bet on this?
Whatever you bet, i'll double it.
call me crazy but i dont memorize every play craig does. I know he did it in the kansas game and a few others but ya he doesnt do it often but when he does its effective.
Use a fact in a debate. One time.
what do you want me to record the play, place it on youtube then put it on here for you.
Brackins dunks made ESPN... All 5.
Eh, big men like him need to be shooting above 50% most of the time. He was only shooting 47% before this game. Brackins should really work on his post up moves, he could really get a lot easier shots closer to the basket, instead of those fade away's he always shoots.
He had a good one the 1st time we played Missouri (there). Took his man off the dribble for a dunk.Let me rephrase. Taking his man off the dribble and getting to the rim.
