Who said I wasn't happy with the kind of player that he is? That doesn't mean that he still can't get better.
He was on Gym Gems on College Basketball Scoreboard on the deuce. They showed all his dunks, at least he got some love.
you sure dont act like it. and BTW the radio announcers picked CB as definsve player of the game
they picked Brackins and Haluska for that. Haluska and Lucca got the long dist award.
I didn't see CB get doubled that much tonight. Plus, he didn't get doubled at all when he went for 42 against KU.
The only reason I'm nitpicking is to add some perspective on here. I've seen Cato, Fizer and now Brackins all play a lot of games at ISU. I think all 3 will have made a lot of money in the NBA before it's all over. But right now Brackins isn't nearly as ready as Cato the Senior or Fizer the Junior. Those guys were practically unstoppable on a nightly basis. Brackins isn't there yet. I'd like to see him shoot half as much from the outside and work some more on his post game. If he does that, then he's almost certainly a lottery pick next year.
I think the main reason people are being so nit picky is because they are dying for a reason, any reason for him to stay around next year.

For those of you who like his perimeter game, can you remember one time where he got to the basket after taking his man off the dribble from the outside?
I love Craig Brackins, and he is definitely a legit NBA prospect. My criticisms come from the fact that he is a GREAT scorer down low and very efficient, but him wasting shots and thus possessions on the outside really dilute his numbers.
I'm fine with him taking a couple to keep people honest. I'm not fine with him taking a 3 in transition like he did tonight.

Ding, ding, ding we have a winner, winner chicken dinner. I even said that in my original post.
I actually thought Brackins looked very solid tonight and it was a night that EVERYONE new the scouts were watching.....not only that but he led us to a W!! You're a pretty darn good player if 19 & 12 w/ 2 blocks (while shooting almost 50% from the field and 100% from the line) is considered "HO HUM."
I hope CB stays b/c I love this guy, but he's going to be valuable to any team he's on next year - it doesn't matter what league.
