Bracketology 2015...

I thought the principle was "We won't put you with a team you played twice, period; and we'll do what we can to not put you with a team you played once." If the switch is as simple as swapping two of the same seeds then I imagine the committee would do it. The issue might arise if, for example, 3 seed Iowa State had played all four of the 14 seeds in non-con.

I could be wrong, I'm just going off of memory.

You're pretty much correct, if I'm recalling rules correctly -- they have those rematch guidelines, the intraconference principles are followed "unless it's unavoidable" and the regular-season non-conference rematch is a "strive to avoid" situation. And like you said, since it's a simple swap, they'd probably do that. It wouldn't be a priority (so if all the other 14's were either also rematch or were maybe placed far closer to home than a 3, it wouldn't be switched).

I still think Wisconsin goes to Columbus or Louisville and we are battling Oklahoma for Omaha (whoever ends higher on S-Curve gets it).

That's the key, and it seems to be the one angle nobody is talking about. A lot of people I talk to seem to think ISU has a 3 seed in the bag. We're on pace for that, but could certainly lose it down the stretch. I'm not going to get greedy and set my hopes on a 2 seed because keeping ourselves in the conversation for a 3 is going to be hard enough.
Crappy week. But the Big 12 is brutal this year, and more fans should have been expecting this straight jab to the nose. Didn't want it, but was braced for it, got it, and I'm not too surprised. This team has showed its weakness on several occasions. They are who I thought they were, but they can still excite down the stretch.

With stronger seniors, I'd feel like Monday is a lock, but this year is different. Hogue needs to go UConn on OU and get us headed back in the right direction.

Not sure I buy Villanova in the West as No. 2 overall seed (why not have Nova in the East in that scenario?) ... but whatever, it's a sample.

Anyway -- ISU's region would still be favorable, but the 4/5 in Jacksonville vs. UNC — ouch. Big difference from a week ago, being 3 seed in Omaha (or even as 3 in Louisville, as Lundardi had it).

Hey we gave the KSU game away. Had not seen a way to give a game away like this....

The bench needs to play their best ball.

Damn. At this point I'm more worried about being Murray State in the 1st round before even thinking about UNC.

Yup, we've proven we can lose to teams that won't even be invited to the dance. Turn up our noses at an "ugly girl" and we could be leaning against the wall in the gym early.

Texas better get their **** together soon and beat someone good. They'll probably be in but they are trying their hardest not to be.

Hope they don't decide to beat ISU in the KC tournament to punch their ticket to the dance. Third time's a charm.

Losing the games isn't the issue. It's the remarkable way that it was done. There's no expecting that.

I find it so incredible that the B1G has 7 teams projected this year with the pile of **** they've become. I can make a case for 4 or possibly 5 teams but after that it's taking away spots from teams that better deserve it in lower conferences - or a spot or two from the Big XII where every team is capable.

Joe Lunardi is really not very good at predicting seeding. He is good a predicting which teams will be in and which will be out, which really isn't as hard as you think. I have a hard time believing we are still a 3 seed if selection sunday were today. I would bet money on a 4.
