Bowl Game

I love the Sun Bowl. It is has always been my favorite to watch. Love the Stadium and love the view! FYI: The Sun was Iowa State's first Bowl (1971), Alabama is a 3 time Champion (1983, 1986 and 1988), and I am a one time attendee (1996)!

Kind of surprised they Sun bowl cancelled just due to the fact they're in Texas. I figured all those bowls would be safe.

Yeah I figured the Texas & Florida bowls would be the last one to do that. Hope it doesn't turn out to be the case but wouldn't stun me at all when all is said and done that only the New Years 6 plus maybe a few other bowls are played.

Yeah I have always liked that stadium as well. Looks like they basically just blew up part of the mountain and put a stadium there.

Since Sugar bowl part of playoffs the big 12 has contract with cotton bowl in the years the Sugar bowl is playoff. It is on big 12 website.
That's not what it says here:

Each conference champion from the contract bowls [Sugar for Big 12] has a guaranteed spot in its contracted bowl or in another New Year's bowl (Peach, Fiesta or Cotton) if the contracted bowl is a semifinal game . . .
New Year's Contract Bowls
Allstate Sugar - (Big 12 vs. SEC when Sugar is not a semifinal game)
Rose - (Pac 12 vs. Big Ten when Rose is not a semifinal game)
Capital One Orange - (ACC vs. highest ranked SEC/Big Ten non-champion or Notre Dame when Orange is not a semifinal game)
Other New Year's Bowls
Goodyear Cotton
Playstation Fiesta
Chick-fil-A Peach

. . . which doesn't mean you aren't correct from some other place on the Big 12 website.

Funny how they project #12 Indiana in the Fiesta instead of #11 Oklahoma in an at-large spot. Somebody at IU has a big ****!

Based on the graphic, the assumption is that Indiana gets in as B1G champ -- which is an automatic spot. OU would get bumped.

Got it! What a load of crap, letting Ohio State in the Playoff with a few games, no B1G Champion + Indiana getting an auto-spot as B1G Champion. Total Horse Crap!

No more $95 face value 400-level tickets on SeatGeek. Initial sales of tickets seem to be done. My guess is that they pulled them in order to give them to Jamie Pollard. His email said Iowa State gets 5000 tickets, but originally the venue said it would be 4500. However, his email also said that tickets would be $145 or $195 which are the face value prices for lower level tickets, so maybe the 400-level is sold out. Or maybe Jamie is going to gouge some of us for the extra $50 each. Times are tough!

Well from a Fans perspective don't want to end up at the Fiesta Bowl now if you were planning on attending the ISU Bowl Game.
