The guys better keep their cleats tied on tight if they play Florida

Some early date bowl game announcements coming out:

Interesting. Only makes sense that these early bowls would be making selections early. I have looked and can't find anything that gives a comprehensive explanation of which bowls are selecting when. Such as weird year. If some if these lower bowls pick first, it may make for some interesting predicaments later as it limits the options for better teams in these conferences. Seems like a Gary Barta way of handling things.

I know Colorado is solid but I would much rather go and lose a close game against Florida than beat a Colorado.
LOSE to Florida?

I suppose it would be too greedy to want them to be in a bowl that was played on New Year's day or later, but I hope one day they do.

Semis are before New Years so I really would prefer if they were playing before that and then in the national champ after that.

Most years semis are before New Years Day but this year they are indeed on January 1.

With the season pushed back 2 weeks, but bowl dates staying the same, this year is the wild west.

Reportedly, all of the games prior to Christmas are already set. That's an easy step, since none of the P5 conferences are involved. Nothing this week would have affected what mid-majors are available to that set of bowls.

AAC has set all of its bowl teams except Cincinnati and Tulsa.
C-USA has set all of its bowl teams except Marshall and UAB.
Sun Belt has set all of its bowl teams except Coastal and Louisiana.
MAC will probably wait until after Friday night's title game -- they've lost a few tie-ins due to cancellations.
MW is in the same boat as the MAC.

The rest of the Tier 2 bowl announcements should start trickling in Friday night and Saturday (like usual).

Win and we play in the Cotton Bowl at worst. CFP at best (That was fun to type)

A loss and we could sneak into the Fiesta, right? Probably need Indiana to lose to Purdue this weekend? Maybe a USC loss

USC losing/winning probably doesnt really matter, the Pac 12 gets 1 auto invite regardless...
