10-3 Ohio St absolutely goes over a 10-3 TCU, no chance of that helping us.

Realistically, you're probably right, so I'll stand corrected. Evaluating properly, it's probably a draw, but NY6doesn't operate within confines of CFP, and Ohio State has more marketability. So TCU could be at the mercy Pac-12 title game.

I really hate the way this whole process works.

Will K St end up getting a better bowl than us?

Hard for me to imagine they would. Passionate fan base, but we easily draw more attendance at our games. Plus add in the pent up demand for a bowl appearance, and I cannot imagine a bowl that would prefer purple kitties over ISU.

If we don't get Orlando, then I'm pulling for the Texas Bowl. Unfortunately, it sounds like that is out of the equation. If we get stuck with Memphis I want to at least play for the Telephone Trophy against Mizzou.

The ******* conference owes us after that bull **** last week. They should use whatever pull they have (which probably isn't much) to get us in to a better situation than playing Memphis in the ******* Liberty bowl. Of course we all know that's not going to happen.

They just announced they will do what they can to help us out. But then Reggie Smith talked them out of it.

Guess we could always cheer for Memphis to upset UCF this weekend, ensuring they go to a much better bowl than Liberty.

Hard to see the SEC agreeing to slot their teams into two lesser bowls to let G5 AAC take one of their better bowls.

I am thinking #fakenews.

So who to root for this weekend

OU over TCU by 1 point
USC over Stanford
Memphis over UCF
Georgia over Auburn
Clemson over Miami
Wisconsin over OSU

That would give you OU, Georgia, Clemson, and Wisconsin in the playoff with Memphis and USC as auto-bids to the NY6.

Now pick 6 of these teams

11-1 Alabama
10-3 TCU
10-3 Auburn
10-2 Miami
10-3 OSU
10-2 Washington
10-2 Penn State
9-3 ND

TCU would have a great shot at a NY6 bid in that group of teams IMO

Barf. Worst possible option, given the date

Xmas in Phx would be awesome.

I think back to 2000, after football practice on Xmas day I made my way to the Wyndham Buttes Resort (now called Phoenix Marriott Tempe at The Buttes) pool and called my family back in Iowa celebrating Xmas in windchill below zero temps. I was sure happy to be spending my Xmas swimming in a pool.

Having to play Memphis at the Liberty Bowl would be the most Iowa State thing ever.

vs. Boise in Boise
vs. Michigan State Elite 8 game
vs. Rutgers in New York
vs. TCU in Houston

What else am I missing?

Wouldn't USC losing to Stanford drop USC out of the running?
