Sure, and put Matt Campbell as the coach of the Irish and they run the table. That's not how it works, you don't get to switch backs for the bowl game. Adams has been a better back yardage wise this season. He has more yards in less carries which also means he has a higher average for his yards per carry. You can talk about better lines and whatnot, but those types of hypotheticals don't win football games.

So Case Keenum and Timmy Chang are the best NCAA quarterbacks of all time by your logic? Stats are not the be all end all for player quality.

I think it will depend on the rankings and how the Big12 Championship games plays out. If OU steamrolls TCU again, TCU is not getting into a New Years bowl game. If it's close, that is for the best.

I agree. Imo it depends on 1) How far ND falls after getting their ass kicked by Stanford, 2) If USC beats Stanford in the PAC 12 title game and 3) if TCU is competitive.

It not very hypothetical to say two first round O lineman will help you chances of having a better run game. To say this hasn't impacted his yardage is ridiculous.

From a geographic standpoint, I'd be much happier with Memphis. A lot easier to get to. From a weather standpoint, it's not as good as some of the other destinations, but as long as it's above 50 degrees, I'll be fine.

If I was taking my family, I might prefer Orlando, but I'm going with a group of guys. Give me Beale St. over anything in Orlando.

Best case scenario:
OU beats TCU by slim margin to keep TCU in top 12
OU goes to CFP
TCU goes to Cotton Bowl
OSU goes to Alamo
ISU goes to Camping World

More money for conference due to 2 New Years 6 bowls and adding another bowl outside Big 12 bowl arrangements. ISU gets a game in talent heavy state likely against a top 25 Power 5 (or ND) opponent. Big 12 stabilizes more now that we made the playoffs again.

I think we need to watch where Washington is ranked tonight also....they're sitting out there at 10-2 and could be in the mix as well.

Memphis would feel a lot more like Kansas City for fans. We’d take over that place. It would be all Iowa State fans.

Orlando would be more like New York. When we were there we’d see a few Iowa State fans every place we went but never more than 4 or 5.

They were 17 last week, beat #13 WSU and also #14 Miss St. lost. I'd expect them to move up a couple spots but still be behind Notre Dame. For TCU, if they lose, it will all come down to how much the Committee penalizes a team for losing a Conference Title game. Ohio State could be in a similar situation if Wisconsin beats them handedly.

If UCF losses to Memphis does a G5 school still get a NY6 spot? Or do they have to be undefeated?

If the Texas Bowl is 3rd in the pecking order.. why would they pass us up?

Cause they can draw more from a 6-6 Texas squad? MEH.

The Highest ranked G5 school is guaranteed a spot.
