Bowl Game Projections

We really need to trade out one of the Texas bowls. 3 options when 40% of the conference is already in the state makes no sense. Give me Fla, AZ, Cali or New Orleans.

I would be shocked if a 6-6 Texas team jumped a 9/10 win ISU/TCU/OSU. Last year's Alamo Bowl was between #10 Colorado and #12 OSU.

I don't think a 6-6 Texas would be going to the Alamo Bowl. I think it will come down to OSU/TCU/ISU/WV for that bowl.

Only way Texas at 6-6 plays in the Alamo Bowl is if the Big XII gets 4 teams into the College Football Playoff and the #5 team in the Big XII automatically goes to the Sugar Bowl.

As long as ISU doesn't slide down to the Cactus Bowl or Heart of Dallas Bowl I'll be happy. Not that there's anything wrong with those locations, but they are both the day after Christmas and would mean ISU had a disappointing finish to the season.

Obviously I would like for ISU to go to whatever bowl game winning out would take us to.

But IF I had to choose, I'd go Alamo or Texas Bowl.

I'd like to avoid Memphis & Orlando both (for selfish reasons, nothing against either city).

Been to San Antonio once and stayed on the River Walk and it was a blast - can't imagine how fantastic it would be swarmed by Cyclone Nation!

It was pretty awesome in March of 1997.
