Exact same thing with ours. Probably doesn’t help that basically 50% of my neighbors bare grass in their front yard is a bird/animal feeder. They lay out a bunch of seed on the ground and in feeders.

Avian CTE should solve it but I think it takes a few years until the birds brains get so bad they all try to kill themselves.
All of the windows on the south side of our house are tinted to reduce passive solar gain*. We get peppered with bird strikes constantly. Usually only once - the bird is typically stunned enough to not do it again, they occasionally don't get up but that is pretty rare. With the windows being tinted you can often see the imprint of the bird, cartoon style.
I don't have any suggestions. We just deal with it because we don't have repeat offenders.
* The "passive solar gain" reference was from an old office I worked in. Building management sent a building wide email requesting we keep the blinds closed in the afternoon to reduce "passive solar gain". Because we were too professional to say "it's ****ing hot in here, close the blinds".

Well......bird flu #19 the pandemic is just raging. And with the order that all birds be quarantined to their nest the rest of the summer along with not being allowed to fly south for the winter in addition to all the feeders being boarded up and the fact only 10 birds at a time, 6 feet apart with masks are allowed on any powerline....the stress was probably more than he could bear.
We had one doing this to our patio door and we just kind of ignored it but then found out later it ripped/poked a bunch of holes in our screen door. So annoying.
We had this problem for days with a Robin. We bought some helium balloons at the grocery store and tied them from the inside of our windows and letting them blow around on the outside... IT WORKED IMMEDIATELY.

I had this same issue and it started at 5:30am and the robin crapped all over my deck and grill. I consulted with the local ISU Extension office and they suggested I hang a dark garbage bag near the window and it worked. A few years later, it started up again and I shot it after the garbage bag trick didn't work. RIP

Found the cat and fed it some tuna next to the window getting the worst beating. Haven’t heard anything from the bird since

We had a split level house with a sub-basement and that is where the laundry, furnace and water heater was. Wife says there is some noise down there and she doesn't know what it is. I start looking on the top of a shelf and I hear it too. Wait a second, is that bird crap? On my shelf in the basement?
As soon as I figured out what it was, a big black bird flies out into the room. WTF. I open the door and it flies into the living room. I have the front door, deck door and garage door all open. I'm chasing it with a fly swatter. It flies around in the house and finally goes out the front door.
Back downstairs and I see that there is a nest. Bird had burrowed into the side of the dryer vent and made a new hole to get inside. Lovely.
