New season kicked off last night. Thoughts on the cast and theme for this season? I would get Rachel out of there ASAP.

Every time they introduced a new character, my daughter and I said something like "That is this years Quirky girl", "That is this years over confident athlete", There is the "Over the top gay guy".
They just can't bring themselves to quit casting the exact same cast every year.
Then they gave them all maps and the next thing we knew 8 of them were standing there getting ready to build a puzzle and open some doors. Ummm what about the maps they all just grabbed. Big Brother over thinks the crap out of this game in some parts and does not put any effort into casting the thing. We will still watch though

I thought the same thing about the maps. Will definitely keep watching as it is something to get us to fall with 3 new shows a week. Don't like bringing back Rachel, she is too over the top.

I've been a watcher since season 4. I actually gave up on it for a year or two a few years back, but got back into it again and thought the last couple of seasons were pretty good. It might feel like the casts are always the same, and there were definitely times in the past when I thought that too, but it seems like they've at least tried to introduce a little more diversity in recent years. This year might be a step backward in that respect, though.
I do totally agree about the producers overthinking some aspects of the game. A lot of the competitions are needlessly complicated, and there are way too many of them. And the themes and characters they come up with are largely just annoying. (Last year's "AI" thing that was actually just a CG character is one glaring example. This year's "Mastermind" looks to be another.)

The maps just told them what comp they were playing. Blue maps to one comp and red maps to the other. It was just a way for them to draw for comps.

Yeah I might not watch anymore with her being back. Not sure why they went back to that well. Just no need for her to be back. She is annoying and over the top.
If they don’t target Rachel right away they are dumb. But if not her, I’m hoping the older loud Amy lady or the Aura painter weirdo goes home.
Big brother loves the quirky girl thing. I hate that crap. It’s so forced. Hope they eject her and Rachel the first two

These people are all dumb. They had a chance to take out a Rachel ally but instead they take out a "Bro". Just stupid.
Rachel, Jimmy, and Ava need to go asap as far as I'm concerned.
My daughter and I have decided to not watch anymore. It’s become so ridiculous now. The producers have ruined a pretty good game so much it’s no longer a game and just pure luck
Haven't looked back the last few years. Between work and other forms of entertainment I don't miss it a bit.
