Big 12 Refs Strike Again

No..Don't lower ourselves to blame the refs on a questionable call.Thats what losers(hawkeyeyes) do.
Very questionable...but still a very good game and show some class.
We will beat them in Hilton and if they are unfortunate enough to play us in Kansas City.

Wow, this thread didn't take long. That won't get called 9 times out of 10. The refs did the right thing. Move on.

I agree with you except for one statement.

The refs didn't do the right thing, they did the normal thing.

That was a definite foul, but it's rarely called, EVER.

People push off... I see hooks all the time that don't get called. We did not execute when we needed to. Fred did not use his timeouts well at the end.

Don't be expecting an apology letter on that one. KU is now is sole possession of first.

Is that the only thing that cost us the game? Heck no. But man was that a bad push off. Refs didn't have the balls to call that on Baylor's home court and everyone knows it.

Horrible team effort tonight.

Don't agree with you there, the team made a lot of mistakes, but they came back when they needed to. Now, had they been clicking all along, they would have won pretty easily. But some nights you're like this, and a mentally weaker team would have folded and lost by 25 like @WVU last year.

I'm disappointed that ISU lost and I'm not going to point only to the no call on Chery's last shot, but I am also disappointed that in a game where the refs liked blowing their whistle and getting their TV time, they swallowed those same whistles when they absolutely should have made the call. That's all

It's not necessarily the last missed call that was terrible it's more the calling of ticky tack hand checks on the perimeter all game and then nothing anywhere else. I accept that refs miss calls or make bad calls, but I also expect them to step up and up their game when it's up for grabs and they never, ever, do which degrades the sport quite a bit.

If you asked the average fan of any team the one thing they would change about CBB the #1 answer would be the level of officiating consistency and clarity.

Normally I would agree with you but Monte was pushed 8-10 feet back and hit the deck. A little push off won't get called but that was bad.

Getting down 17 because we decided defense was for ******* is why we lost.

And then crawling within 2 in the same half, yet losing by 12 at halftime.

Horrible team effort tonight. Embarrassed with Niangs play all of January. Not meeting even half of his expectations this year. Missed easy bunnies tonight, stepped out of bounds simply running around with the ball, and decided to run into a trap with 3 seconds left and put up a stupid *** shot and leave two hot players wide open.

How can you possibly be so mad? I thought it was encouraging to see how clutch our guys were towards the end of the game. Its a B12 loss on the road, forget it and look forward to KU!

Refs weren't what cost us that game.

If they call that foul ISU wins the game. I mean, fu@@ man!!!! Yeah, I know, should've done this, should've done that, but come on. That ref ...on that call... cost ISU the game. I don't want to hear "ISU should make plays to not be in that position,"... that's BS. They fought their a@@es off to get back in it, and to have that call determine the game is a textbook example of "a ref costing a team the game" . I'm not yelling at you, and I don't want to get into a fight, I'm just really frustrated. I yelling at the ref on the inside.

Yes, you can look at every facet of the game and see how ISU lost it with their own play. Bad free throw shooting, bad defense, bad rebounding...but hey, they tied the game at the end.

But how something so blatant isn't called is mind numbing. Officiating in college basketball is just so poor it really takes away from the game.

Yeah, but that was pretty blatant. Horrible job on the ref's part there. Chickensh@@ non call. ISU did a heck of a job to get back in it. Baylor was on their game tonight.

With the way the first two road games went we better get some gigantic homerism in all eight remaining at Hilton. At wvu was a complete joke and that push off on the game winner was baaaaaaad.

Because that loss is almost inexcusable.

We were WALKING twice on our transition D in the first 7 minutes of the game, which is why we fell behind 17.

And as soon as we were back in it, our defense started walking around again!

Lack of hustle was the reason we lost tonight.
