I don't think so, I think adding BYU, UCF, and maybe Cincinnati is better than adding an Oregon State and Washington State.
Apparently I'm the only one skeptical of the claims in this tweet. More likely this guy or his sources have listening comprehension issues.
Colorado would be a good one. UCLA and Oregon would be good adds from a brand perspective but man they would be on an island.
He doesn't appear super credible and is looking for clicks. It is interesting though.

If the Big 10 has plans on taking PAC schools, Oregon is going to be one of them. Big 12 will get what ever the Big 10 doesn't want.

How do ratings look for Big 12 teams compared to SEC teams?
People post that college football shouldn't just be a regional sport, but networks and all continually pay top dollar for the SEC over other conferences. They seem to think there's something regional to it all.

What if the remaining 10 teams or whatever approach 4 or 6 of the Big 12 and want to form a new conference? The right mix of schools in that situation would be better than what the Big 12 is going to be as soon as Texas and OU leave.
Don't disagree, but if you thought UCLA, Utah, the Arizonas were available, Houston is definitely still on the backburner. Hell, if they are available, then Bowlsby better be looking at the fine print on those invites.
That thought did pop in to my head as well. If the money is there, I could see it happening.

I'm skeptical as well, but I find it interesting. It does align with my firm belief that the PAC 12 needed to get on the road to expansion immediately (even if done privately). There's really no one that they can add now if the Big 12 schools aren't interested, and that makes them fodder for other leagues.
Which is why I don't buy it...other than waiting out the Texas/OU payouts...why would a Big12 team dismiss any interest by the Pac12? Kansas is an obvious one...if the Pac12 wanted them...why would they say no?
They would lose all their old rivalries, increase travel and those expenses immensely, leave the best basketball conference in the land, and all for likely the same payday.
Because they wanted to play against a commuter school in Florida ? Or, there are Mormons in their faculty, and they want to make them happy?

KU could still play KSU, ISU and OSU in mbb if they wanted to...easily! And they would pick up the west coast in exchange. That would be tempting for them when the alternative is TCU, Cinci, Houston...and who knows if or how long Tech and Baylor will be good? And as for pay...we have no idea what the future payday will be for the Big12 once Texas and OU leave...or for a newly constituted Pac12?
Ku has not played Missouri since they departed for the SEC. Ku breaking from the B12 would not be met with thanks from lil bro(s). Cincinnati and Houston have superior basketball traditions to all P12 members, sans UCLA.
Lil Bro wouldn't be in a position to say no if that were to happen...they would jump at the chance for a money making game that a KU matchup would provide.
