Sounds like he hurt it in the Texas game and didn't practice all week, and then just aggravated it further against us. I doubt he plays tomorrow, and if WVU didn't dismiss half their team, I would actually favor WVU in that game.

Yeah, I thought that was pretty big. Winning the big 12 would be huge, but is it worth risking his health for the tourney?

The next 3 games are WVU, OSU and KU. I think they go 2-1 either way. If wade is out longer they could be in trouble.
Without Wade they lost at home to Texas by 20, lost at Texas Tech and were down by 20+ to West Virginia at home before coming back. There are zero guaranteed wins for them if they lose Wade.

Sure, no guarantees, but I still think they beat WVU and OSU. I also assume KU beats them either way. I forgot how bad UT beat them without Wade. OU, at TCU will be tough for them without Wade.

K-State was without Wade and Stokes for the Texas loss. They may be without both for WVU as they were both wearing boots after yesterday's loss. And as I said earlier, there's a flu bug in the squad. So only God knows what the outcome will be in Morgantown. Diarra's out for the year. EMAW's in a world of hurt.

Wow, if Stokes is out too that is insane. Well, I guess it's time for Brown to make his case for POY.

You sure about Stokes injury? Stokes played 29 minutes yesterday. No mention of any new injury to him or him wearing a boot postgame in any of the press I could find.

Talking heads yesterday said all the 1's and 2's are set so if they are right best we could hope for is a 3. But ......

It's on to Baylor!!

Meh, talking heads like to sound authoritative, but the reality of it is that things could shift. Probably won't, but a few surprises here or there could change things.

Yeah, I seem to remember last weekend before our game, Iowa State was on the cusp of winning the Big12. We lose, KSU is on the cusp of winning the Big12. This week, We win, KSU loses and we're back to 4 teams in it. Check again after Wednesday...

An interesting fillip from the simulations: There's now a 13% chance of a three-way (or more) tie for first at the end of the season, with these being the most likely:

Iowa St., Kansas St., Texas Tech tie: 2.8%
Kansas, Kansas St., Texas Tech tie: 2.8%
Iowa St., Kansas, Kansas St. tie: 2.7%
Iowa St., Kansas, Kansas St., Texas Tech tie: 2.0%
Iowa St., Kansas, Texas Tech tie: 1.9%

I'm really pulling for the 4 way tie.

So Self has to play more KJ Lawson (Top 50 recruit), McCormack (Top 30 recruit), or Moore (top-60 recruit). Must be rough.

Vick saved KU’s season from being a disaster when he returned despite KU trying to cull him.

my hunch is that his "leave of absence" was actually Self telling him to hit the road

Here's the absolute best scenario, which sadly only happened once out of 100k tries:

Baylor: 11-7
Iowa St.: 11-7
Kansas: 11-7
Kansas St.: 11-7
Texas: 11-7
Texas Tech: 11-7
Oklahoma: 8-10
TCU: 8-10
Oklahoma St.: 5-13
West Virginia: 3-15
