No I meant the show. There were some definite lulls in the first season(clearly not the first episode) and I can see where people got disinterested. I was hooked but most people were not. The ratings were awful until season five. Hell there were whole episode lulls in the first three seasons. The episode of a fly flying around in a meth lab for a whole hour drove me insane...and that was season three!

Clearly that is speculation on my part, but Vince isn't the kind of writer that is just going to give episode after episode of explosive material right away. He had to towards the end but not the first four seasons.

The fly episode was awful. There were a lot of duds in that season, and many of the season 4 episodes jumped the shark (guy gets half his face blown off, then adjusts his tie before falling over dead...come on). I thought the first two seasons and the last were the most suspenseful; I guess I just can't think of any lulls during those seasons.

I can't think of too many off the top of my head but I just know from the people I talked to that picked the show up just last year that they were contemplating stopping during the first season and probably would have if everyone hadn't told them to keep watching.

At the end of the day, Better Call Saul SHOULD be a great success. It has all of the momentum from BB, great characters/actors and an amazing writer...all before anyone has seen a second of the show. That's way more than 99% of the shows out there now.

Never heard of the show.

Opened the thread expecting Paul Rhoads' with a mustache and glasses.

I think the marketing dept for the show should put Saul advertisements on random city bus benches.

There's a law firm on West 7th in Saint Paul that has a big inflatable Statue of Liberty on the roof. I can't even imagine the type of clients they get because of that reference.
