What trend down in the past 4 years for Iowa? Iowa won as many games in 2013/14 as they did in 2010/2011. They are holding steady and are posed for an uptick. Even is supposed down years for Iowa they win as many games that Iowa state does in their better years.

Oblivious troll is obvious. Despite bleeding Cardinal & Gold, the bolded part does ring true.

ISU just needs to win this year because no matter what logic people use comparing the differences in the schedules people just don't seem to get it. It's the same reason why some fans would be happy if we went to the MAC, at least we could get a higher win total.

Fun fact from last year ISU had 2 wins total. ISU beat a 7 win BIG team and a 8 win MAC team. As a comparison Iowa beat a 6-6 BIG team as their only win against a bowl eligible team..........think about that for a minute.......how do you get to 7 wins, losing to ISU non-conference and only beating 1 team that was 50-50 on the year.

For ISU to get to 7 wins they likely have to win all non-conference games, beat all 50-50 or worse teams in conference and have a top 30 upset in-conference.

My god how do people not understand the damn qdiffrence?

Wow - CPR has the fans split with his Bipolar dysfunctional team. Will they actually play or will they quit? Will SBR actually look downfield or soil himself and run for 3 yards all day? Will any JUCO really make a difference or same old story of not ready for D1 fb? Will they really let Lazard be a PR to save their skins or throw him the ball? Does Mandud become Mangenius again? Will anybody but squawks show up on 9/12 if we lose to purple sqoks? Is JP that naive that a 6-6 team (hahahahahahah) will lessen the heat? Stop with the BS about culture and bad apples - you brought them in Paul so it is all on you! Be a man and take the blame and win or resign and save us the money!

People do understand, Hok Fans don't.

No I diasagree, there is a large portion of our own fan base that doesn't get it. Arguing with a tavern hok although can be entertaining it's not as frustrating as our own fans not getting it. I expect them to not get it, I do expect our fan base to.

The ISU head football coach has a monumental task to overcome just to be mediocre in win total in the big 12, that mediocre. In the years that we have a mediocre win total we'd be in the 9-10 win total if we played Iowas or a mac team schedule.

Look at Iowa's schedule again this year they likely can get to 7 wins w/o beating a team with a winning record. They likely can get to 10 wins w/o a win against a top 30 team.

In comparison ISU to get to just 6 wins we will likely have to beat an FCS playoff team and 2 bowl eligible BCS teams 1 of them P5 non-conference , and likely 2 bowl eligible teams in conference.

As I have shown Iowa does beat highly rated teams often. Teams that are as good as or better than any of the teams on ISU's schedule. Iowa was even leading OSU in the 4th quarter and really should have won. The team's on ISU's schedule do not scare me one beat. That schedule only looks hard to a bad team like ISU, not a good team like Iowa.

First off preseason sos rankings are meaningless. Only post season rankings matter and in that Iowa averages a harder schedule than ISU. Second Iowa State's strength of schedule is artificially inflated by ISU losing to most of the highly ranked teams where as Iowa beats a lot of highly ranked teams. Over the tenure of the last 2 coaches at ISU they only beat team teams ranked #15 or higher. Whereas Iowa has beaten 23 teams ranked #15 or higher over the head coaching span of their last 2 coaches. That is a ratio or 23-2. Iowa is not afraid to play highly ranked teams because they take care of business. ISU uses the schedule as an excuse for losing. If Iowa were in the Big 10 they would beat the teams on ISU's schedule because that is what Iowa does. They take care of business.
