PerkUp Cafe in West Des Moines is awesome

PerkUp is our go to now. We used to do Waveland, but it's smaller, seemingly always packed, and less kid friendly.

May have to try out 100th St Corner Cafe based on the recs here.

Roadhouse in Talkeetna is worth the trip!

The ironic thing is we drove right past there last fall on the way to Denali but didn't know about Roadhouse then. Guess we'll have to go back.

You will have to head west to Idaho Falls Idaho and eat at Smitty's for our favorite sourdough pancakes, haven't seen them in the midwest.

Perfect. Our daughter and son-in-law live just south of Sand Point. We'll make it a stop on the way out there. Thanks!

1. Billy's High Hat Diner. Cousin of mine has this place. Good stuff.

Favorite was Butch’s River Rock bear Mount Pleasant when they would serve fried mush.

New favorite is Apron Strings in Mediapolis. It is simple done well. Best buns in town.
