Okay beer geek fanatics... Got a trip to Sonoma, CA coming up. Planning on hitting the Russian River Brew Pub, and visiting Lagunitas, maybe Bear Republic. Sierra Nevada would be fun, but not on my must see list. Russian river will include me buying whatever I can to bring back with me since it's not available outside of Philly or CA for the most part.
Also, if anyone has been, curious about wineries as well... (I'm one of a small minority that is traveling to wine country for the beer). Also, recommendations for places to eat would be good. Toying with the idea of French Laundry, but would love to try lesser known (and less expensive) places.

Cant recommend anything but your list sounds great and I'm very jealous. Pliny is at the top of my list.

Lots to do around Healdsburg. How soon you going? I'll try to dig up some info - have some business connections out there.

I've had Pliny once. I ordered 3 bottles off of ebay a couple years ago. It was great, but I want to try it from the source... Also, I'm a big fan of unique beers, so very interested in trying some of their other stuff.

Having a Summit Meridian Session Ale (from St Paul, MN) and watching the games:

http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/467/93069/

Can you please verify this?:

Poured into a Dogfish Head pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a thick white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of bready malt, bubblegum, banana, hints of root beer spices, unusual and intriguing. Flavor quite different; biscuit malt, citrus, grassy hops with faint hints of Belgian yeast and spicing. Leaves a lingering ginger, banana and grassy hop flavor. Light to medium bodied with nice active carbonation. An interesting light ale that leans in profile towards am American pale ale, but has some light Belgian hints. Refreshing, interesting and nicely made.

LOL WUT?!?!?!

Great Lakes Brewing Chillwave Double IPA. I has it. A case of it.

That's a lot of drunk at 9.4%. Very smooth. Very drinkable. Deceptively so.

Double IPAs are really good. Yesterday I had some Brother Thellonius Abbey Ale. Four of them to be exact and was a bit woosie afterwards. Around 10 - 10.5% Alcohol but sooo damn smooth. Yum, Yum...

Thursday I went to a beer tasting event here in Sioux Falls. They had four Spiegelau glasses and a different New Belgium brew for each: Fat Tire, Snapshot, Rampant, and 1554. Fun time and tasty beer.
