I think the initial complaint about Dresser was posted during the meet when it wasn't well known that J Frost was sick. Wondering if the comment was referring to KD going with Paniro over J Frost.Dresser explained himself well in the flo interview

I know I was upset to not see J Frost out there at the time but then found out he was sick.I think the initial complaint about Dresser was posted during the meet when it wasn't well known that J Frost was sick. Wondering if the comment was referring to KD going with Paniro over J Frost.
There were complaints about choosing neutralI think the initial complaint about Dresser was posted during the meet when it wasn't well known that J Frost was sick. Wondering if the comment was referring to KD going with Paniro over J Frost.
The only possible blame Dresser should take is having Paniro defer. Block then got to choose down, got out immediately and forced Paniro to have to go neutral.
Two matches later they didn't repeat the mistake and had MJ take down to start, got out in 12 seconds and then Kennedy was in a tough decision. Ended up taking down and MJ put the ride on to win it.
The first period of OT is wrestled in neutral and is sudden victory If no one scores in the first period it goes to two tie breaker periods each 30 seconds long. The wrestler who scores the first point in regulation has choice in the 2nd period of OT whether to take neutral , the down or top position or to defer the choice to the other wrestler. Riding time is kept in those periods. If both wrestlers escape but no other points are scored the wrestler with the most riding time wins. Since Block got out in under 3 seconds Paniro would have had to escape in under three seconds or if and when he escaped after the 3 seconds taken Block down to win the match. Can you explain this OT rule?

I thought it was a no-brainer to go neutral there. Further more, i agree with deferring so that you know what you need to do in the second :30 period. I think Block would have ridden him the whole :30 at that point of the match. The first period of OT is wrestled in neutral and is sudden victory If no one scores in the first period it goes to two tie breaker periods each 30 seconds long. It only took Paniro 3 seconds to get out in regulation. Obviously, different situation than OT.I thought it was a no-brainer to go neutral there. You’re not sure why he wouldn’t go down after only riding Block for :03?It only took Paniro 3 seconds to get out in regulation. Obviously, different situation than OT.
Still not sure why you wouldn’t go do. Even if he gets rode out nothing really changes as he would let him up right away to try and get a TD. There was no way he was going to get 2 stalling calls. Either way, it’s tough if you can’t ride someone for more than 3 seconds.
I have thought about this, and understand that a 3 second escape was difficult to beat, but I would have given PJ the opportunity to beat the 3. I don't think that Block was holding him down for long either way, but he might have just dropped to a leg and held on stalling for the needed time. But if PJ did get away, he still would have the opportunity to get the TD, but likely with less time. I don't think that either call would have been wrong. The right call was made to choose neutral based on OT rules
I didn't read enough comments. It was explained by other correctly. Sorry!
I think if he didn’t have enough gas in the tank to ride for more than :03, it’s a stretch to think he could get out any faster. It’s all hypothetical/opinion & that’s mine. I’ll be fine if Jacob wrestles every match at 49 from here on out.I have thought about this, and understand that a 3 second escape was difficult to beat, but I would have given PJ the opportunity to beat the 3. I interpreted what he said as choose down vs defer in the first 30 sec period. If PJ escapes quickly like he did in regulation then Block would have been forced to choose neutral. You’re not sure why he wouldn’t go down after only riding Block for :03?
That makes sense. Totally understand that thought.I interpreted what he said as choose down vs defer in the first 30 sec period. If PJ escapes quickly like he did in regulation then Block would have been forced to choose neutral.
He could easily have gotten to Block's legs like he did in the 3rd, he just chose to not attempt any real scoring attempts other than that one. And then no real ride attempt in OT was badNo one to blame for Paniro’s loss, but Paniro.
Well, I'm going to flip here for just a minute and defend Paniro. I rewatched yesterday and I did see Paniro continually looking for shots. He couldn't get in because of Block's length (similar to Endene vs. Rocky) and as another poster and the commentator mentioned, his straight on shots vs. using angles and anything other than straight leg shot attempts. Still riding with Jacob but I'm not killing Paniro for this. What was funny about PJ was in David's v-log, before the meet footage PJ said he was "ready to die!" For his team and moment....then put out that performance. I thought he meant figuratively, not legitimate mentally. And at the same time, I expected that exact outcome.
yes, if he goes straight to his back. In the last scenario it goes back to another 2:00 neutral start.A couple of Rules Questions -
If in the first Sudden Victory OT a wrestler is taken down to his back can there be a pin for 6 or is it just 3 ?
If in the next two OTs each wrestler escapes in the same time what determines ?
Thanks
