So what do you think of it now?
So you basically dug that up to say "you were wrong"??
Do we need to dig up some of your "Brackins to the NBA" threads to even things out?

So what do you think of it now?
Do we actually know if "McDermott pulled Dykstra's scholarship for no reason"? Seems like it was pretty mutual?
Um, he didn't pull it...they told Dykstra they would honor the scholarship, even though they had reservations. They also told him they would need him to work more on basketball, and make it a priority. He didn't want to, so he decided to part ways with us. We did not pull his scholarship. So what do you think of it now?

I know that the "official" reason that Dykstra decommitted was that he wasn't ready to commit to the daily grind of D1 basketball, wasn't it? I realize that sometimes official reasons aren't the true reasons, but in this case, who knows?

So, we pulled it and we're sleazy. That's obviously what you're trying to say.:wideeyed:![]()

I will read it to see the insidious evil failure of the GMac-Pollard regime.![]()

Instead, cyismydog, kg and a couple of mods want to attack me instead of answering the question...
Again with the drama llama schtick.
I don't see how I attacked you when I basically said that the "official" reasons may be different than reality, but I was just saying that no one really knows who initiated the decommitting. Maybe the kid really doesn't want to come here anymore. He wrote a very nice letter to that effect I remember reading.
I'm not attacking you...I was just asking if you dug up an old thread so you could say "I was right and you were wrong".
Since you are far more superior when it comes to knowing how the recruiting process works, could you answer a question for me? Has this ever happened at another school or is Iowa State and Greg McDermott the first one to ever to have this happen? Because from my peasant outsider's view, this is somewhat common.
I don't really see it is being dramatical. I just don't see why people need to jump really.
I'm not sure how I jumped on you. I said what the official reason was that was given, and acknowledged that sometimes what's official really isn't the story. I concluded that no one really knows.
That seemed pretty even-handed to me, yet you implied I attacked you. That's what's dramatic.
Well, maybe they would listen to you if you made knowledgeable and informed posts.Fair enough. I re-read your post and yeah it wasn't an attack; at least not yours.
I also do think that if anyone not named mplscyclone or cyclonenum1 posts that question, people react to it much differently. I was asking a question just to ask it; not to prove people wrong, not to purposely **** them off, or anything like that.
