Barnett to start against Texas Tech

I believe we have the solid QB part, especially for the future, as Barnett appeared to be able to hold his own in there in his first 'full-game' against a top 25 team (albeit not because of their defense). What we really need is consistency from the receivers, we need ones who will make the catches and know where the first down markers are and make the plays that should be expected from D1 WR's...
With Barnett being a Freshman he has plenty of opportunity and time to develop and today he was able to show that he can play w/o mistakes for the most part which is a great start.
he deserves it, he looked real good. I was very surprised how crisp the offense looked with him under center. very accurate passer they were not kidding this pre season.

I couldn't agree more. I really think that if they weren't out there for 3/4 of the game the 3 weeks before they'd look pretty good. Of course it's got to be hard to play your heart out when the guys on the other side of the ball are playing awful.
As someone else said, QB isn't the issue. Jantz needed to see the bench today, but im not convinced he's done at ISU. That guy who was incredible in the 4th quarter of uni, against iowa, and last three quarters of uconn is still there.

But no worries. I am very disappointed in his outing today as well as the result of the game. Hopefully after a week of practice with Barnett things will get back to a positive swing.

I know that's a play on words, but I hate seeing fans disrespect anyone on their team (especially our fans, and our team). He won some games for us earlier in the year, and it's not like he's had a ton of experience at this or any level.
I don't like the stter being named right now. Start whomever has the best week of practice. If Barnett grabs the reigns and goes, run him. If Jantz gets back to his old form, give him a look.

That post you quoted just states how people's opinions can change very quickly...this wasn't my "I told you so" posts..though if you're Jantz's dad I understand
I saw that..but no need to be like "I told you so"...(yes I did it earlier in the game thread, a ****** thing to do..but at the time it felt good).
