If our stadium is only half filled, and revenue drops 50%, shouldn't our visitor payouts be reduced 50% ?

The TV money isn't changing and that's the vast majority of P5 revenue regardless of how many butts meet seats on Saturdays.

Let’s not get to excited here folks. CFB discussions are on-going.

As for Ball State - David Letterman will look back at the Drake game to get fired up.
Why must we ever have to reference that debacle?

Ball State lost Michigan and Indiana when the B1G went conference only. I wonder if we got a sweetheart deal.

Just a guess, but I would think it's a 2 for 1. They get a game on their schedule where we pay them a small amount, then it's a home and home.

Is TV revenue dropping 50%? That is the big money. We don't make nearly as much from tickets as we do TV.

Yeah I'd think if tickets were the biggest money maker there would be plenty of programs that would be in far worse shape. IIRC there's many that have decent teams but their stadiums look pretty empty.

That may be, but what about other sports. Cross country or tennis for example? Where is the risk in tennis; handling each other's balls, maybe?

Has any other P5 school added a game to replace a cancelled game?

Kansas replaced New Hampshire with Southern Illinois. I think that's the only other one that's officially been announced.

Everyone else is probably waiting to hear what the ACC and SEC will do.

Honestly, I used to be a big Clay Travis fan--but the guy is acting the complete fool. He knows his fledgling business is SOL without sports this fall/winter and he's completely desperate. Its actually embarrassing seeing him flail about, grasping onto any positive "news" from any source as proof he's right.

He's been wrong about pretty much everything since this all started.

Has anyone mentioned how much Ball States Mascot, Charlie Cardinal looks like Cy? I wonder if they’re related.

Charlie is Cy’s love child from a brief summer romance during a baseball trip in the 80’s in Ohio.
