You do realize there is a transfer list 2015 thread, right? This is like the 3rd or 4th transfer all year that's gotten his own thread. And I don't get why you are acting as if everyone is saying we have this guy in the bag? And at this point, yes it is wishful thinking, it was just announced today that he's transferring. And could you tell me where exactly does Royce White come into this?
 
We should probably wait for him to get released before we pencil him into the starting lineup

A. We have a coach now.
B. This is for 2016 when we have a lot of PT to offer in our front court for a sit out transfer.
C. we are a top 5-10 team and with the right additions could keep the ball rolling.

Coach beat Memphis while at Murray. Not sure if Nichols was on the Memphis squad then, but it was talked about for weeks around here(memphis). Also Cam Payne was on Nichols AAU team I'm pretty sure.

Correct. I never said that we better make his final list or anything. I said that we had better at least make some kind of effort to see if he might be interested?

I'm going to go ahead and read between the lines. You're saying Nichols is basically a done deal for us. That's a good get for Coach Prohm.

He was a 5* recruit who was never recruited by ISU or Murray State, and had offers from Duke, Virginia etc. He's going to have options, and those will include schools like Duke, Kentucky and the top tier programs. He's not going to Ames, and people really needn't be this excited over every good transfer, particularly with no reported interest from the player.

It's not like Bryce Dejean-Jones was widely considered the #1 available transfer by several websites or anything last year. Did he love up to that? Of course not.

Oh that Royce White guy was a pretty decent 5 star recruit as well. It's not like Kentucky was after him. Solid insight though.

There's the mention of 5* transfer Royce White from 5 years ago I was waiting for. Knew it would come.
 
Just coming to post that. Dang, I'm slow this morning. I mean that new broke at least a minute ago.
 
Would be a great pick-up. He's a good player! Too bad he isn't eligible this year. He would fill us out perfectly into a true title contender and give us three legit bigs instead of just two. Heck, if you added him to this year's team (impossible, I know), I'd venture to guess that ISU would have the best frontcourt rotation in the country.
