Audi Crooks to Transfer

I’m not sure she has that work ethic in her. 4 year of high school and 3 college years and she basically is the same size if not bigger. Genetics is probably a lot of it but there is very limited athletic ability.
So anybody about 6’3” and 250 pounds can score 28-40 points in the Big 12 ? Sorry I disagree.

In all honesty, and siap in here, but what would the odds be of her next landing spot redshirting her, getting her in better shape and conditioning and redefining her game for her senior year? That's probably what I would do in her shoes
0% chance
If I were picking from that list Minnesota would not suprise me.
This landing spot makes a lot of sense

This quote is fitting for Bill

“You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”

I don’t care who end up getting in the portal, we’re most likely going to be absolutely atrocious next year and that will more than likely be Bill’s final season. What a way to tarnish everything you built because you were to stubborn to hang it up at the right time.

What Audi did at ISU was impressive to say the least. Best of luck to her.

Can anyone say they were excited for Audi ball part 4? Will anyone miss Audi ball?
As frustrating as Bill’s game plan was with the “f it Audi’s down there somewhere” style, she averaged 25 points a game. Plus Audi is one of the most genuine student athletes I’ve ever witnessed.

Lexi was as big of a red flag as you could get. She was Clone through and through. Still very close with Matt Thomas. And on a successful team that just won the B12 tourney.

And yet I feel like a lot of people just chalked it up to “well she can get a grad degree at North Carolina. It makes sense she would transfer”. No way something was going on.
Well back when Lexi was here it was the Ashley Joens show. Bill has his favorites and Lexi wasn’t one of them.

I spent my entire youth wanting to attend Iowa State for my education. I have spent my entire adult life benefitting from that education, and, in turn, wanting nothing but the best for the university and its athletic teams. I have stuck with the athletic department through highs and lows (mostly lows--I am that old), and there is nothing better than experiencing a basketball game at Hilton

That being said, it sure has been a tough few months with the change in football, the general disappointment (with an injury) of the MBB NCAA tournament, the maddening collapse of WBB after the start of the conference season, and now all the WBB transfers.

It does make it hard to maintain positivity associated with Cyclone Athletics when everyone seems to want to leave. I always thought Audi simply always wanted to be a Cyclone. Of course she has to find her own path, but as a life-long Cyclone, this one really hurts.
It’s hard for us diehard Cyclone fans and really any fan base to do, because we are FANS of our schools and many of us attended those schools. But in modern college athletics, we have to realize most of these athletes aren’t choosing the schools they’re choosing the head coach. Someone like AJ, who was born and raised Cyclone, is the exception. It wouldn’t matter who is coaching Iowa State, she’d stay here.

Quite frankly there isn’t anything to say. I can’t fathom anything they could do that would help anything.
Let the major drop in season ticket sales do the talking. I understand the sport already loses money but the athletics department will have even less revenue next year.

She's never shown any inclination that she wants to get in shape, why would that change now?

With her activity level, I can't imagine what her diet looks like to stay that size.
I don’t think it’s just an Audi thing. Many of our wbb players have gotten bigger and I’m not talking about muscle. I’m talking about visible flab hanging out of their jerseys. Sorry if that’s mean but there are two players in particular (not Audi) who got WAY bigger since being here.

Our nutrition and S&C plan sucks.

To be good in wrestling or women's basketball all you have to do is want to. Meaning be willing to spend more money than most others. It was cute and all before NIL but those days are over and until they come back we have to prioritize Football and Men's Basketball. Or drop down a level.
Our women’s team underachieving is not an NIL issue and strictly on coaching.

The coaches themselves or does each sport have a GM type person charged with this? Seems like the athletic dept could use a dedicated person with specific expertise.
It is a good closely tied combination of both.

I would not be surprised to see Billy’s wife become a GM … “Fennelly’s” ALL IN

I think attendance at ISU women’s basketball is considered good by national standards, but it looks like it has fallen off in the last few years.

This is also not the first time multiple key players have transferred in an offseason. Was it 2023 or 2024 when Fritz, McGraw-Espenmiller, and Donarski transferred? That should have been a red flag.
It was but there are some fiercely loyal fans to BF. He's got a hard personality to be around all time from what I've heard. Doesn't mean that everyone feels that way but it's no secret players haven't always liked him. I have no idea what happened with this wave of Exodus but I do know it's a pattern.

The wierd part is this season didn’t tank until the injuries. Like last year and the year before I could see things being toxic. But this year didn’t seem particularly toxic.
Easier to cover up when you start 14-0. It's when you start losing that the toxicity comes out.

I am so sad and so mad.

Coach HAS TO GO. Step down. It isn't even the classy move now, u have ****** that up. Your entire team just quit on you,

You are a multi-millionaire. Just go. Why you are extending this just means you are going to leave as a POS.
