Bill is more expensive than some new coaches we could get.It certainly would be an interesting situation and a huge turnaround. My only concern with it is Jamie will use the re-recruitment as an excuse to extend Bill as a reward and just delay the inevitable. Given how cheap Bill is relative to a new coach, I think Jamie is looking for any excuse to keep those cost savings rolling
Season ticket numbers will crater I have a feeling if that happens. I’ve begrudgingly accepted he’ll be here next year. If he’s still here 2 years from now, I’ll cancel my tickets- it’s got to stop at some point and it’s not like he’s lighting the world on fireBoosters should riot at this point if BF is extended.
No "facts" to back this up but I think we could pay $400,000 for the new HC their staff accordingly and still get very similar results to what we get, a winning season and a tourney bid. Save that cash and push it into mbb. If you alloted the salary savings onto player payments you'd probably end up with a decent roster.Bill is more expensive than some new coaches we could get.
IMO Audi will get bag of money from Okie State. They are buying a team.
Or she wanted to get away from the toxic program run by CBF.If Audi ends up at Okie State, then we all know she went for the bag. Not to win, not to establish a legacy (would have done at ISU), not to play with other pros…for the money.
Thats fine but still think the additional money OSU may give her won’t be worth ISU legend status in the long term.

Audi made decent money at Iowa State with side deals and NIL. Her face will be big outside of sports for a while. After Iowa State Carleton is doing ok:Of course she went for the money. That’s the smart move given her abilities and shortcomings. Audi has been a wonderful Cyclones. The being a legacy at Iowa State in any woman’s sport is not a financial windfall.

Bridget Carleton signed a three-year, max contract with the Portland Fire in April 2026, marking her as the expansion team's first-ever free-agent signing. Bridget Carleton signed a 3 year, $3,748,500 contract with the Portland Fire, including $3,748,500 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,249,500. In 2026, Carleton will earn a base salary of $1,190,000, while carrying a cap hit of $1,190,000 and a dead cap value of $3,748,500
I stated that.Yes she is doing great. And the money Bridget is making is because of her accomplishments at the professional level. It has nothing to do with her Iowa State accomplishments.
The reason for her departure (not money related) is more relevant than whatever money increase she gets elsewhere, especially if it’s Okie State where it’s doubtful she makes that much more than what she would have at ISU.If Audi ends up at Okie State, then we all know she went for the bag. She was the reason the other big 2 left.To be fair, she left after the rest of the team left. There probably wasn't much 'legacy' to establish after that. 4 years and zero trips to the second weekend isn't going to get anyone legend status.
Fairly obvious there was high dissatisfaction with the staff given the mass exodus and money is a secondary factor for the exodus. And you base your statements on what? Her reasons for leaving are money.
