She’s an 80 pound overweight, Divison 1 athlete who can’t bend over, run the floor, get to a rebound, or play more than ole’ D.
She doesn’t get much of anything.
It appears the team left her, not Bill…BUT Bill has to own his part in creating this mess as well.
He allowed it.
I honestly don't care about her weight. I want her to give more effort on defense and rebounding and getting up and down the court faster.
I think you're being unfair saying she's blaming her teammates and culture.
To me that reads just what she is evaluating. For her game to be effective she needs outside shooters that hit consistently. Our tournament runs were cut short because the outside shooters went 7-36 vs ASU and 3-22 vs Syracuse.
I don't get why all the sudden everyone is hating on her, the situation at ISU isn't a good one for her. It would be Audi, AJ, and a boatload a low major transfers. She needs a different perspective on her ability and can make likely make bank somewhere else.

I think you can say that her conditioning, flexibility, quickness, and effort have gotten worse over the last 3 years.
A team will absolutely take her. Plus side is her offense that other teams cannot stop. Another plus is having her on your team and not an opponent's.
If she becomes a liability on defense at the end of games, she rides the pine. Heck, even Otz didn't play Milan at the end of some games because our opponents were forcing a switch to iso him.

Nope - her teammates quit against Syracuse. She was the only one who didn’t. Probably the last straw for her.
Blum said last week that last year Audi turned down $300-$400k additional revenue share cash from another school - to stay at ISU.

Nah, she was adamant about "watering the grass under her feet" then when we couldn't pay her more, she quit. Her teammates were probably sick of bowing down to her and the star treatment she received - which is why they all left - because of one player.

We cut our already relatively meager WBB spending, the whole f'n team left because we couldn't afford to pay any of them and it's hard to sell how next season would be worth taking a big paycut when we've failed 2 seasons in a row with mostly same personnel (and coaches). Addy and Audi were roommates and by every account good friends. Audi's personality as never been an issue and there's never even been a hint of teammates frustration - just dbs like you on the internet spewing nonsense.

Exactly, they volunteered to be part of the organization but then don't want to follow the organization's rules.
Someone can have a nice personality but still be a bad teammate. Those things aren't mutually exclusive.
Wow, if I was someone on the ISU team that played with her I'd be pissed seeing a quote like that. Tone deaf and basically throwing her teammates under the bus by essentially saying she needs teammates that can knock down shots. She didn't directly say that was the problem this year but a statement like that is basically saying it.The first quote says it all…

And what the hell has she been working on for the past 3 years if she is just now saying she needs to work on more outside range and be better defensively? The defense especially we all knew was an issue going back to her HS days and I thought this past season was some of the worst effort on that end I've seen her play at ISU. Those quotes along with all the players leaving sure doesn't paint a pretty picture of how she likely contributed to the culture of the team this past season.
We led the Big 12 in scoring and were #12 in the nation in points per game. This isn't an offensive issue, it’s a defensive one. Yes our shooters needed to make more shots but did anyone know we were #18 out of 350+ teams in 3 point percentage?
The fact that Audi is talking about the offensive issues is telling enough. Bill has abandoned the defensive end which caused our underperformance for the past 2 years - not Audi, not shooters...defense.

I don't mean to body-shame anyone, we're just talking sports/performance here and it happens to be a large woman, but she definitely needs to get quicker and more mobile if she wants to have any chance at the next level and that likely involves dropping weight.
If that impacts her scoring ability negatively, well 20 ppg instead of 25 is still pretty good.

I'd argue Bill abandoned defense (outside of 1 lockdown defender occasionally) about 15 years ago
