Those are guys who had earned an allocation that didn't cash it in, right?

The head to head is why I don't think Parker has a great shot. The only guy in the pool he has a head to head match against is the loss to Pohlmeyer and the field is already crowded. Basically there's a slim hope that his win over Heil is enough to singlehandedly drag him to Cleveland.

Pohlmeyer got an at large at 141. It is very possible that Parker losing to him on Saturday cost him a trip to Cleveland.

What happens if Solomon has to pull out ?

If Harrington is the alternate (good chance that he is) I think they have until sometime early next week to make the call. Since the injury is a concussion I'd expect them to hold out until the last minute in hopes that he can clear protocol and by then the deadline would have passed.

Any chance Degen gets a seed? Would be nice if he didn't have to face a top seed in his first match.

Barring injuries, I have a feeling we will have between 5-8 qualifiers next year (just not sure about 165 or 184). I know 1 qualifier is unacceptable for Iowa State, no real way to sugarcoat it, but gotta have hope for next year. I'm already excited to see how they compete with another off season to improve and get guys like Gomez and Coleman into the lineup.

I just doublechecked the deadline and it looks like they moved it after what happened last year with Suriano. The replacement deadline is now at the time of weigh ins on Thursday morning. So if Harrington is the alternate then he'd be able to swap in if Solomon can't clear concussion protocol before next Thursday.

Do they announce an alternate ?

They don't release the list of alternates. It isn't a sure thing that Marcus was next in line. Cary Miller of App State had a fairly similar resume depending on where they both ended up in the final coaches panel and RPI.
