Ashley Okland Shooting

It seems a little odd that people investigated in WDM's major crimes end up committing suicide. Let's just say if they come out and say this guy did it, I'll certainly wonder about it. Sad that the woman that found her tried to kill herself too.

I never heard that. What happened?

It's interesting to me that the WDM PD would clear this guy so quickly just based on witnesses saying the SUV looked like an Escalade. The general public knows very little about cars/vehicles. Most just see them as a pod to get them from point A to point B. If I was working the investigation, the only two descriptive items I would trust coming from a witness would be color and vehicle body type (SUV, 4 door sedan, 2 door coupe, hatchback, etc.). And the witnesses were matching those two items to this guy's vehicle.

Even if these witnesses were picking Escalades out from a vehicle photo lineup, I wouldn't trust them.

This guy had probably been rejected by Ashley after asking for a date or something. With the police having so little to go on, ruling this guy out as a suspect even though he had a vehicle matching the basic description witnesses were providing seems somewhat reckless.

Wish i had more than "he said, she said" on this but there was a little info leaked on this case too regarding ashley. Details that would suggest it was a crime of passion. But the results of what happened would suggest more dna evidence of who did it. Also where she was actually found and what position he body was and that it was sitting upright. Like i said its just he said she said stuff but it came from someone i know of that knew someone involved in the dept that wasnt supposed to be repeating anything....but did anyways under the influence
