I hope 5-0 or someone can at some point do a deep dive in to the steps that led up to the arrest. My guess is they found enough leads that led to a road of evidence to be able to arrest someone.
Cant even imagine walking around for 15 years having killed someone in cold blood.

Agreed....hell last fall I accidentally mowed over my neighbor's cable line before it got buried and felt so guilty I went over to confess for my sins! Imagine a murder.
Wonder if she was in the Realty business as well? Jealousy/anger over a deal or something?
This whole situation has "future Forensic Files episode" written all over it.
She worked for the developer that built the townhomes Ashley Okland was showing.
Almost certainly has to be DNA doesn't it? Unless some weird circumstance led them to the weapon used and able to link it to this lady. OR this lady hinted of animosity towards Ashley Okland to friends/family and they relayed this to investigators.
Very curious the events that led to the arrest.
Edit: had to be something substantial for 1st Degree Murder charge

Wow. As another person posted, this could be a great forensic files. Will be interesting to hear the timeline of information, what lead to this suspect, etc. And of course,.motive
Have a feeling this could be it. That or someone finally talked.
Yeah, so wild. It seems in these types of things it's either super complex reason or just something super simple/someone snaps. Like if she worked for the developer and heard Ashley showed a place and told someone "other options could be better" in a other development, someone could be stressed and snap (totally made up type of scenario).
Glad the family gets some closure, but also probably a lot of different emotions as details/trial happens
Saw this on Reddit. She worked for the company who built the townhouses she was killed in. That’s gotta be the connection.
He used to have a podcast about this type of stuff and I enjoyed it.

Wonder if this Ramsey lady was the Rottlund employee who made the initial call to police after finding Ashley Okland? So many questions
Was discussed too. Apparently that was a 50-something women and this person would have been 38 at the time.
My wife was friends with Ashley. I was early on the scene as a news photographer. That is one day I will never forget!
I hope that this brings some peace and closure to the family. I had met her father a number of times.
My money is on DNA- she probably threw a straw away that police collected and tested. They did that to break a 40 year old cold case in Cedar Rapids a few years back.
