Arnaud's Performance

I've been one of the more vocal AA supporters on here this season. It's not that I think he's the greatest QB to come through Ames, it's just that I think he's pretty clearly this team's best option for winning games. I think overall this was probably an average performance by Austen. He made some nice throws, but he also made a couple questionable decisions on passes. But overall, I think this game just proves the point that this offense needs all 11 guys on the field to be clicking at the same time for ISU to score points. The blame/credit should rarely be laid all at the feet of the QB. AA plays an average game, but we actually have a ground game today and our receivers make some nice plays = 28 points plus a win.

If ISU goes to a bowl game, and wins it. Paul Rhoads should be coach of the year with the lack of depth on both sides of the ball. To take a team to finish last in the Big 12 two years in a row, and to take them to a bowl both years and win them, is something that can not be ignored. Pre mature I know, but what an accomplishment that would be.

Luckily this debate will be over in 4 or hopefully 5 games. the ink isn't even dry on the headlines of one of the biggest wins in Iowa State's history and still haters want to point out what one player did wrong instead of give him credit for what he did do well to help the team get the win...

I don't think AA is bad. I think he trys to hard. Today worked for him because it was a whole team performance. The D played well the running game was working. He didnt have to try and do everything. Everyone played well today. We win and loose as a team.

This is abundantly obvious to anyone who doesn't have an agenda on the topic.

Oh, I'm in Austin.
