*** Arizona Pregame Thread ***

Yeah, my point was that if they are restricting it, they should restrict it for those teams home and away. In that case it could start to get tricky scheduling when you have so many games - in conferences even - where you have teams from the Eastern playing teams from the Pacific or Mountain (or Central playing Pacific). You lop off the early and the late game so you may not be able to carry all of the top tier games you want to put on your top channels.

What carrier has 11 am Eastern kickoff? I thought the earliest was noon Eastern (11am Central). That would be 9 am Pacific. If instituting rules like that Hawaii would only ever be able to play in the evening timeslot.
Yeah, I made a mistake, I was thinking 11am central. I didnt even realize it until you pointed it out.

What local station has the pregame / postgame radio show on AM or FM local radio? In from out of town and driving up to game tomorrow

Line is down to 4.5. What’s going on? Can’t just be the Cooper news.

Meanwhile, in Des Moines

My buddy in from out of state, took him to The High Life Lounge, three mid 20’s year old Arizona fans there. Good kids. They are having a good time.

Then over at Tipsey Crow, the UA cheer squad and parents. Also having a good time. But one mom was complaining of boxed white wine.

Whatever.

It’s all the same that because they live in Phoenix we are poorer. Or something like that.

Not looking good folks, depleted at kicker, depleted at corner back, consensus making a strong move toward Arizona in the late hours.
Hear that folks! No use even going to game. It's over.

This reminds me of lead up to our road game at WVU last year.

An observation and a question, then I'll get out of your hair.

Between 1980 and 2010, we played Iowa 7 times (3-4 record.) with 4 home games, which I attended. In 3 of those games, there were multiple issues with Iowa fans, some of which I witnessed. What's the deal? We have our rivalry with Arizona State, so I guess that's an expected thing (although I think they're pretty bad, regardless.) Obviously, we've played lots of people, and we're now in our third conference, but I've never seen anything comparable for a non-rival team. (Okay, maybe Oregon, but Iowa still tops them.)

I have no idea, so I was wondering if it's a lot of unhappy Chicagoans who couldn't get into Illinois or Northwestern, or what. In any event, it seems to be a cultural thing that spans decades and generations, so their administration bears the responsibility. Appreciate any responses.

Good luck to you guys (especially with injuries. You have an admirable program and you carry the flag well.

My friend, you will fit in just fine here!

Majority of Iowa fans couldnt get into community college, let alone U of I. As far as fans, they are using Iowa's success historically as reasoning behind why their **** doesnt stink now.

Every fan base has those 10% of fans that are just dipshits, ********, and inbreds. For Iowa, its closer to 40%

Johnny Orr once told me that all Hawkeyes are arrogant ********. Even thought that when he was at Michigan.

He didn’t hate them quite as much as he did Illini (where he started college), but it was close.

I hope that adds some perspective.

I have an unexplainable uneasiness with this game. Someone hug me and tell me it’s all gonna be okay.
