Are you a beer snob?

I love craft beer, especially IPAs. I can talk about beer in a manner that sounds pretentious. I love to try new styles of beer, visit breweries, etc. When I'm out of town, I look for beer I can't get at home to bring back. I dont consider anything by the Big 3 to be "good" beer.

That said, I have no problem drinking domestics, and do so on a regular basis. Sometimes I just prefer a dollar menu cheeseburger to a filet mignon. It irritates me when other people who appreciate craft beer look down on people for drinking domestics or complain about beer selection.

I guess the answer to the question depends on how one defines beer snob. I drink craft beer and prefer it to domestics by a significant margin. I think it is better beer. I do not think less of people who dont like it, and I drink domestics on a fairly regular basis.

You can put 3 or 4 good craft beers down and have a good buzz. At least I can. A beer isn't in my hand for my than 4 minutes.

So do you spend like 15 min at a bar? Geezus. I like to go out and enjoy peoples company, not get hammered in 20 minutes.

Al is the beer fanatic on here. I only drink craft beers, but don't hate on others that drink mainstreams. I have seen some fights break out because of that crap.

ABV varies by the type of beer. IPAs like Doc prefers tend to have higher-than-average alcohol content compared to lagers, wheats, and regular pales. I think stouts and porters tend to be medium to high ABV, too.

Alot of the Brown Ales I drink are pretty high in ABV.

My biggest form of beer snobbery: I do not like Bud Light at all. If I want a lighter, easier drinking beer I just go for Busch Light. It has something closer to flavor, and costs a lot less.

I dont see the point of Bud Light. If you want light beer, just drink something cheap. If you want to spend a little more on beer, get something good. I dont see the point of spending nearly craft beer money on lower quality beer.

I wont turn it down when its the cheapest, but I'll go out of my way to drink Miller or Coors Light over Bud, if theyre all the cheap option.

Somewhat. I'll really drink anything besides IPA or the REALLY cheap stuff. I don't mind a domestic once in awhile, but I prefer crafts or microbrews.
