Great runner who knows how to use his blockers and hit holes. He runs straight and makes great cuts without losing speed. His TDs happen fast. No running sideways until something opens up. Most of his success had come right up the middle, not around the ends. He is interested in ISU, but hasn't been given an offer yet.

Prototypical UNI guy who ISU passed on and will run for 200 yards against us in 2-3 years...

I think the RB from West Waterloo might be the fastest. many times teams have the angle on him and he just walks away from them. Unless he is a plus 200 lbs and benches at least 350 he probably won't make a dent in the Big 12 Conference.

Fastest running back in the state and is probably one of the hardest kids in the state to tackle.

Complete guess:

He goes to Iowa Western for two years and ends up at a big-time university Kansas State with Ol' Snyder.

We are trying to first build an oline that opens holes up the middle....2017.

Sorry but cliff's the fastest. Don't get me wrong I know how fast the west waterloo kid is(I've seen him play in person. But you need to see Kwaw-Mensah in person to understand how fast this kid is. That hudl highlight tape doesn't give him or his speed justice.

I have seen us offer kids who look worse than him. I would love to see this guy come in as a walk-on and play with an even bigger chip on his shoulder.

Doesn't fit the body type. We are only into recruting ideal height/weight guys who have never produced a thing on the field, not guys who show some ability to play football.
There have been so many great running backs that have been as big as him or smaller in HS (Barry Sanders, Darren sproles,etc...) Not comparing this kid to them but I really don't understand why we don't take a chance on him. Especially with all of the production he has had this year along with him being a talented local kid.

He needs around 1,000 more yards to break the state record. Of course that means Ames makes it to the state championship.

In regards to offering him, he doesnt have any FBS offers. There isnt much recruiting info on him at all. Maybe that changes in the next few months.

There is no replacement for speed. Local boy that has been clocked at 4.3 40yd. How do you not offer. Think JJ Moses+. If a coach can't find a way to use that speed his name is mess.

Just had to be a jerk and trash a coach while you were at it, didn't you? Genius.

Agreed. Even if the staff is concerned about size and thinks he's a marginal offer, that is fantastic speed. I hope they "roll the dice" on him (if they think its a gamble) if we've got a spot or two left. Why not take a chance? They've got twenty-some offers right?

Plus, he's an Ames kid, smart and articulate and seems to have good character. Those are all big pluses to me.

4.3 speed? Holy **** I bet he's as quick as Wimberly if not a step faster if that time is legitimate.
